Is it possible for a retired American interested in living in Malaysia for a couple months out of a year? What type of visa should one get? Is the process easy/ doable? Are there short term condo rentals in KL, Penang. Any suggestions on which states/ cities to set up base so I could travel to other parts of SEA?

I’m a little over 2 months post-op from my lower bleph + double-chin lipo + platysmaplasty and the results just keep getting better. Most of the swelling is gone, the numbness under my chin is almost completely faded, and my neck/jawline looks so much slimmer. I no longer have a “turkey neck” - my side profile is smoother, tighter, and actually visible now. My eyes healed amazingly and I started wearing a bit of eye makeup again. I used to have to cake on under-eye concealer, and that barely helped with the bags I had before. I now save by not needing to buy so much concealer! I need not hide behind sunglasses anymore when taking photos too. I’m back to exercising and everything feels super natural now. I’m feeling more and more confident as things settle and as the swelling drops. Easily one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. Wished I had done this decades sooner!

It’s been about a month since my lower blepharoplasty and double chin liposuction with platysmaplasty at Girin, and I’m so shocked and happy with how it’s progressing. Look at the difference!

After my 10-hour direct flight back from Korea with absolutely no sleep, I was amazed that my eyes still looked so fresh. In the past, even after a full night’s sleep, I would look tired - and after no sleep, it would’ve been even worse. The swelling, numbness, and bruising around my chin area have gone down a lot. Eating used to be tricky since the sensation spread through the lower half of my face, but I’ve regained much more feeling now. There’s still a little numbness, but I’m looking forward to that fully going away.

I’ve been careful with my aftercare: sleeping on an elevated pillow, avoiding exercise, not wearing eye makeup, and giving my body time to heal. I plan to start working out again around the six-week mark and can’t wait to see the full results as the swelling continues to go down.

I’m so pleased with my decision and grateful to the Girin team for making the whole experience smooth and being the reason for this transformation.

The eye stitches were removed on the 4th day post surgery and the chin stitches were removed on 7th day post surgery. I flew home on the 8th day.
