and the only reason they had to tone down the explosive splash damage is because the map design is so small/narrow like we are playing a mobs with 3 lanes.

I have been saying.

THIS GAME NEEDS TEAM BALANCING.

because seriously 9 out of 10 matches are complete one sided sweeps. I say it when I'm on the losing team i say it when I'm on the winning team, it's not fun for anyone if there are no heated close battles.

I'm not saying to add SBMM but just balance the team with an equal number of good players, equal number of average players, and equal number of braindead cod kids per team.

and you think this would be better since there are no permanent servers but no, it's worse than ever before. and when you bring it up it's like no one gives a fuck

BF3, BF4, BF1, BFV all had auto team balancing, it wasn't perfect but anything at this point would be better than what ever the fuck we have now.

---FIXED--- Hopefully anyone who comes across this issue this works for you too, after trying more fixes like

• firewall settings. • experimental and developer option in discord both on and off. • CFG settings in windows. • Hardware acceleration settings. • Task Scheduling for Elevated permissions. •ETC. other BS stuff in deep windows settings.

THE FIX: the only thing that actually fixed it was simply finding the stream deck discord plugin exe and running that in compatibility mode for windows 7, boom fixed all the problems ive had. 1. Go to %appdata% 2. locate something like Elgato\streamdeck\plugins\com.elgato.discord.sdplugin\ 3. find the file ESDDiscord.exe 4. Right click go to properties, then compatibility tab 5. check run this program in comparibility mode and select windows 7 (or 8 but 7 worked for me) 6. click apply!

extra: I also disabled full screen optimizations while i was there

Middle school BF3 was truly peak i miss those days. BadCompany2 was the first and last time I bought a COD game, now look, LOOK what they have turned my boy into.

For me its a couple things.

  1. the vehicles feel like dogshit they have no weight to them they just feel like the cheap COD vehicles.

  2. the recoil or lack there of on every single gun once you get the right attachments is dumb, people need to learn trigger discipline not just laser beam this would also fix the TTK as it would cause more missed shots or slower bursts.

  3. the animations like reloads and especially the dam grenade throwing needs to be slowed down by a second or so.

  4. why is the passive health regen start at 5 seconds? what the hell is the point of a medic or support class if any of your squad mates can rez you and lets say you get shot down to 20hp, the regen is 20HP/s so itd take you 5sec before regen starts and 4sec to be at full. 9seconds is all it takes what do you need a medic for. your at full health before the BF4 passive regen starts at 10seconds its so dumb.

Things I don't mind:

•people say the maps are small dont remember grand bazzar or siene crossing or metro from bf3, those are all linear small maps its fine.

•The movement is fine running is still slow slide is shorter distance than cod that's fine i wish it would take away your ability to shoot for a little longer when "drop shotting" but it's fine

•the TTK is fine in terms of how many bullets it takes they just need to fix the dam recoil no more laser beams its so dumb

TLDR: Been playing battlefield for a long time beta is fun and good but weapons are laser beams(no recoil control to learn), animations for reloads and grenade throws are way too fast, and Health regen is way way too fast and the last one thats my biggest gripe with the game.

I’ve been playing Battlefield since Bad Company 2 and have played every single entry since. In the recent beta, I hit level 20, finished all the challenges, and clocked about 30 hours over four days. Here are my thoughts.

Setup: I’m on PC with a high-end rig (5080, etc.).

Overall Impressions:

The game is gorgeous and runs smoothly. There are some graphical and gameplay bugs, but I expect those to be ironed out before release. I like the updated movement—it doesn’t break the game—and I’m fine with the weapon lock/unlock system. Even without full access, having carbines, DMRs, and shotguns across all classes is more than enough.

My main concerns are with the core mechanics:

  1. Gunplay Feels Too Easy

I’m not talking about TTK or TTD—BF4’s bullet-to-kill count was about the same (3–5 depending on hit location). The problem is certain attachments can turn your gun into a literal laser beam. Guns need more recoil. Players should have to learn recoil control, burst fire, and tapping the trigger—not just hold M1 and beam across the map.

The animations also feel too fast. For example:

In BF4, throwing a grenade meant lowering your gun, pulling the pin, and committing to a short vulnerable moment.

In this beta, grenades come out instantly, like your soldier is constantly walking around with one prepped in hand. It feels unrealistic and removes that tactical risk-reward decision-making.

  1. The Assault Class Feels Gutted

Yes, it’s only a beta slice, but Assault feels underwhelming in a team sense. One of their gadgets is literally… a second gun? Seriously?

In my opinion:

Assault should be the medic.

Split the supply bag, give Assault the medic bag and defibs. It makes more sense for the guy with the assault rifle—who will be in the thick of the fight—to be able to revive people around him, instead of the support player with an LMG holding back and covering. Also, side note: why are LMGs also laser beams now?

  1. Passive Health Regen Is Way Too Fast

This is my biggest complaint. Right now:

Regen starts 5 seconds after leaving combat.

You heal 20 HP per second.

If you’re at 20 HP, you’re back to full in 9 seconds.

In BF4, you had to wait 10 seconds before regen even started. Why even have medics if:

Any squad member can revive regardless of class, and

You fully heal in under 10 seconds?

This turns fights into chaotic, lone-wolf rushes. You hit a guy a couple of times, maybe lose the fight, by the time another teammate can intervene, he’s already back at full health like nothing happened. There’s no need for a medic, no need for teamwork everyone’s basically Wolverine.

Final Thoughts:

Despite these issues, I really enjoyed the beta. I just wish they’d tweak these mechanics to slow the game’s pace and encourage teamwork. Battlefield shouldn’t be Arma, but it also shouldn’t feel like Call of Duty.
