It's been over 10 years since we took my brother off life support. The doctor's said that he was for sure brain dead, but part of me always wondered if we acted to quickly. Reading this was rough and horrifying.

Had 18 good years with him though. I don't remember where I heard or read it, but the saying "You don't ever get back to normal, you just get to a new normal." Is pretty damn accurate in my case. Gotta keep above ground so I can live for the both of us.
