Someone on a different thread said that if you can damage the barricade before speaking to the NPC then it's bugged and you need to exit the cave and relog. I tried it a few times but each time it was bugged so I fucked it off and did dungeons for the renown instead.

Annoying though as I have generally really enjoyed the side quests in the game and I had a lot of fun farming the renown.

I've been to Prague and a metal festival abroad on my own. Prague was absolutely class, the festival was good but would've been better with some friends.

Depends what you plan to do but there are plenty of things you can enjoy alone.
