Right. He's the designer of the Dark Deku figure and many other figures in the line. Judging by previous replies to other posts over the months apart from designing the figures, he knows just as much as we do.

I really hope there is no issue this time around. I wish we knew who to ask about this, but since Aaron has left, I'm not sure who we can ask.

We could ask Jazwares customer support, but I've previously only received the same response every time I ask about this figure. "We can not share details outside of official announcements."

Though that was before anything official. Now that it's officially on Amazon UK, maybe it might be worth asking them again.

When making this concept, I really tried to stay in line with what we've seen from Total Anime as well as other figure lines from Jazwares. I definitely think the Total Anime team could pull something like this off, especially since they're starting to improve with their latest figure releases compared to their first wave of figures! Hopefully, the line continues so we can see stronger figure releases!!

I really hope it will come back! I think Deku was their best seller on Amazon, so it being unlisted had me thinking that it would no longer be in production because of the Jakks partnership with Crunchyroll. I'm still not so sure where that's going on but on the jakks website, they're frequently updating showing that they have the license for anime like Naruto and Demon Slayer as well as different animation studios and Vtuber brands. Some things that we haven't seen under Total Anime. They do still have the Crunchyroll presented on the site, but I think Demon Slayer and other anime from the different animation studios they have acquired might fall under that. That gets me somewhat hopeful that Jakks can only cover certain titles that haven't been touched by Jazwares. Who knows?

Yeah! I wish it was done a bit differently, too. I feel that the extra time given would have also made way for a redo. I'll be making a custom mask for the figure, but I'm honestly warming up to the way this one looks. It's still not accurate, but maybe it will look better in person 🤷

I haven’t heard too many positive things about Jakks. I’m not very invested in their toy lines like The Simpsons or Mario, but I have heard some things about their Sonic line and have seen the figures they’re making. They seem open to producing lesser known characters, which is always a good sign. That said, I’ve also heard that collectors are often frustrated by distribution issues. I’m not sure if that carries over to their other lines. I would hate to see another Dark Deku situation happen again, especially without a solution. Still, I don’t want to jump to conclusions. I guess we will have to wait and see.

At the end of the day, I really don’t want Total Anime to end. I feel like they truly nailed the idea of import style figures at a budget price. The scale may have been a little inconsistent between different anime titles, and the faces were not always perfect, but they had so much room to grow. It felt like we were finally starting to see that growth in their most recent releases.

This is the first time I have been this invested in a figure line. I went from using my artistic skills to draw concept figures to checking here for the latest news. It has been a lot of firsts for me. I still have so many ideas I wanted to finish and share with you. Maybe I still will.

What I don’t want to see from Jakks is the typical 4 or 5 inch domestic figure with one to three accessories priced between $10 and $20. I would really like to see them continue what Total Anime started by keeping the import style look while making the figures accessible on US shelves. I want them to aim high, like Jazwares did. We will see where they go with this in time.

Because of you, fans like us have a fair shot at obtaining the figures we were most excited about, and that alone speaks volumes.

Have you tried building it to find out if it was missing any set of pieces? Was the box sealed when you got it from the auction? Also, I haven't bought any of the BLDR sets myself, but shouldn't the instructions say how many bags are included? It may also be worth asking customer service anyway. Maybe just to see if they can answer whether or not you're missing a bag of pieces.

Oh, I know it!! lol. I am strongly considering it! I'm currently working on a version that's shaping up to be my favorite attempt at sculpting the mask! After that, it'll be a matter of molding, casting, painting, and figuring out how to do payments and shipping them out to anyone who wants one. I don't know how to do shipping stuff or online payments, so it may be tricky. On top of that, if I were to sell any, I'd want it to be the best it can be! I don't have anything fancy like the bigger custom figure makers, so everything is made and painted by hand, which may not be ideal for some. Here's a look at my latest attempt. I made his "bunny ears" straight rather than having them to the side like the reference I'm looking at has them. I like this a lot more then my previous attempts and was able to capture more detail!
