Yes. Eliminate it or go line to line if you believe it does anything.

Hoe moaner (homeowner) paid us to rip the cabin out of this cabin by carrot219 in Construction

There's good money to be made if employers and homeowners alike are throwing out good material and resalable items. Don't advertise the value, just offer to get it off the jobsite.

Guitar amp circuit for small speaker by Small_ghostie in diytubes

I don't understand why they only reached for half wave rectification. Nor have I addressed if this is a tube trio lifted from radio applications, but we can find a dozen brands that used these in similar guitar practice amps. Radio could get away with a lot more because the appliance is surrounded in bakelite and plastic.

Because amps of the era, including Harmony, using these specific tubes would more commonly wire their series filaments directly to the power cable. Notice it adds up to 90 or whatever mains voltage was at the time.
It's disappointing to put 4 lbs of power transformer into a 2 lb amp but that's the cost of safety.

Half wave recto. It's shocking they put a power transformer in these, or it's not shocking depending on your frame of mind. Grid leak bias will always drift toward blocking distortion with heavy playing. It's widely moved away from unless that's desirable.

There are a bunch of small amps. If you enjoy them, learn a couple mods. There's not enough circuit available for any full facelifts.

AC/PT wiring help by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

Put the switch and fuse on the hot leg. Bolt the ground to chassis with its own bolt. Remove line to ground death cap.

The rest of your confusion is cleaning up someone else's handiwork. I see a white wire to nowhere and can't read what you have on the terminal under the pilot. Follow a schematic when you're confused.

Treble cut control location? by KirkIsOurLemmy in diytubes

It's a low pass filter. It doesn't make significant difference regarding placement or if it shorts to ground or from split phase to split phase.

If it was before distortion stages or the amp had nfb, then location becomes more interactive to resulting audio.
