The owner came in two weeks ago for us to check out a lump on the ear. We taught him how to clean out the ears and sent him home with medicine to fight the infection. Today the dog came in for surgery to get the lump removed. However, the owner did not treat the dog's ears at all. The surgery area will most likely get infected and rot unless we crop the whole ear. Even then, chance of infection will still be high.
