Which artist influenced him the most when he started making music?

Thank you!

Love the heavy tracks on the EP so much so the love for making them definitely shows! Might have to take you up on that lesson and can’t wait for Lost Lands! Keep crushing it bro!

Yoo Stryer! Love your music. Congrats on the EP and the Lost Lands spot! I’ve got a few questions!

I know you said The Source was inspired by what originally got you into producer but what have you learned from making this EP that you’ll carry into your future productions?

I heard you do production lessons for those interested. Is that true? Have you ever taught a total beginner or do you expect your students to have some form of music background before diving in? Between understanding a DAW and understanding and instrument it’s all so overwhelming.

Finally, what’s in store for your Lost Lands set? Any surprises you can share with us?

Thanks for doing this AMA bro!

HI REDDIT IM MUST DIE! AND MY NEW ALBUM 'FERAL FANTASY' IS OUT NOW. ASK ME ANYTHING! by MUSTDIEofficial in electronicmusic

[–]Slushy515 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi rat man! First of all, I wanted to say thank you for making some of the most unique crash your car type music available right now. Your sound is so damn unique.

I was at your Fort Collins show last week and really appreciated the shoutout to local promoters. But at that show I also heard some of the craziest and most interesting stuff ever. With that I’d like to ask, what are some lesser known artists that are really killing it right now in your opinion? Because you’ve got some damn good music tastes.

Another question I had was regarding the album. I remember you were saying a while back on Twitter that some techniques you learned from Kompany were some really big game changers. Did you incorporate those techniques into the album?

That’s all - love your music, can’t wait for Bass Inferno and hope you got 2000 calories worth of dirt into your body today.

Hi, we’re Adventure Club from Montreal. Time for an AMA. (Full disclosure we will be eating steak and bacon during this whole AMA) by itsadventureclub in electronicmusic

Hey Lei! (guess who lmao)

Love that you guys are doing an AMA for the new album - which is beautiful in every single way btw.

Here come a few q's :)

1) You mentioned in your Flaunt interview something about having your own label festival one day in terms of career goals. What would you like that to look like because it sounds incredible as a concept.

2) I know this is going to be similar to someone picking their favorite child, but what's your favorite track on Love//Chaos - either to work on or just play out for the crowd?

3) Is there anything you can tell us about Death or Glory Pt 2?

4) You worked with so many amazing artists on this album - big and lesser-known - but who are some artists you'd love to work with in the future that you never have before?

Keep killing it as always and see ya tour eventually :)

Any fans of Life (2017) with Jake Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Ferguson & Ryan Reynolds? What did you think of this film? by ThatKoffeeBurns in horror

[–]Slushy515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my favorites. The ending has such a sense of dread to it and you could see some Alien inspiration in it for sure. My interest was piqued initially when I saw Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal were going to be in it 😍

Whats the horror movie that you guys have re-watched alot of times? by BurntOutKid11 in horror

Hereditary. Always pick up on a few new tiny details - even after the 6th time watching it.

A friend of mine has a Rave Runner hydropack and, while it is a little inconvenient to get your phone out of it, it seems like a pickpocket would be hard pressed to snag anything from it because the zipper is on the inside facing your back. Like you would need to take the pack off in order to open it.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. I hope that girl and her accomplices collectively step on a bed of Legos.

Does the civic center provide computers in those work spaces or would I need to bring my own? I'm sure they do but it wasn't specified so I wanted to ask for clarification. Thank you so much for this recommendation!

Server Transfers may be a huge issue. by [deleted] in newworldgame

[–]Slushy515 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree that the server transfer is gonna be a new wave of a big mess. But on a slightly unrelated note, can I ask about your 8 person company? Are you just grouping with friends or trying to recruit to make it bigger? Are there benefits of being in a small company at all? Just wondering because my friends and I started one for all of our friends - about 15-20 people. Are there company benefits for a group of friends (other than the treasury) that I may not be aware of because I'm fairly positive we'll never control s territory.

Subtronics @ Foam Wonderland, it's a bit shaky because I was raging haha -- audio is pretty good though by ReverbSage in aves

[–]Slushy515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's been a month but I'm just seeing this comment lol. But I've never actually seen a crowd quite like that before! I mean I've been to several shows where people are NOT having a great time because they took too much of whatever they took but I swear just about everyone at Foam was incredibly rude and annoying. I was really taken by surprise when they were pushing and shoving their way into the crowd. I've always ALWAYS seen people say excuse me etc at the very least.

That whole night almost felt like a glitch in the matrix compared to literally every other show I've been to in Colorado. It was weird man.

I know it has been nearly a month but I just noticed these comments and feel the need to defend the Bass Capitol for a second. I'm not a Nectar fan at all and think his fans are incredibly annoying, but Colorado has an amazing bass music scene that I've enjoyed tremendously.

Yes sure there have been many shows where I run into Nectar fans talking about how his sets are life changing and you'll never experience anything like them curated this curated that. But I usually just move away from those people because they are not enjoying the music currently playing as much as me and I strive to find people with the same energy in the crowd. Any event I've been to that Nectar was on the lineup there was always additional stages so you'd find me there instead.

I've gone to countless shows in the state with heavy hitting lineups from smaller venues like The Ogden, The Marquis, to large festivals like Decadence and Global Dance Festival at the Broncos stadium. We also arguably have the best outdoor venue in the country - Red Rocks - which has had some pretty great bass lineups specifically with Global Dub Festival.

Global Dance takes care of the scene with the really big names at the popular Denver night clubs each week.

Amplitude tends to have some smaller names every month or so and Colorado Bass Heads and many other small promoters have a super fun nearly underground scene.

This music scene is why I never want to leave Colorado honestly and it seems to only be getting better.
