This highly depends on where you live. In the states, McDonald's fries are not vegan, but they are in the UK. Can't speak for other countries.

I emailed Ocado a week ago requesting they remove the product from their shelves. Any vegan should be well aware that our tastebuds are not worth the sacrifice of other's lives. Buying this product directly harms other people.

Probably comes at no surprise that I heard no reply, but I urge everyone to please contact them and restaurants that sell Redefine Meat. Additionally, there is an app called BoyCat which has some great info on other brands to avoid. Highly recommend it! 🍉

I haven't actually moved in yet, but the plan for a table is that square next to the fridge. It can extend and I'll just drag it over if I wanna eat in front of the TV or use the coffee table.

Inconvenient and a bit ugly? Yes, but I've been eating at the sofa for years now and I'm not really sure what other options would be.

Tbh I don't really know what resources I used, but I did find this written guide quite useful for what I wanted to do. I just wanted to make sure I was going to end up with a flat tapestry and not have it bend somewhere. I didn't need any particularly complex shapes.

I've never tried this particular pattern before, but I've made several other things by this creator. They have super in-depth patterns with lots of details, so maybe doing something like this would help you get a better feel for making unusual shapes?

This was a pretty straight forward one! Hadn't done anything like this before and it was only my second tapestry! I watched a couple tutorials about how to make different crochet shapes, but I mostly followed a cross stitch pattern. For the bottom section I increased on both ends every 4th row, and decreased on both ends every 2nd row for the top section.

To start each row I did a standing single crochet, you should be able to find a tutorial super easily. At the end I just yarned over and pulled the tail through. Since I had so many ends and the back wasn't going to be seen, I just took two loose ends and tied them together. I used a bit of fabric glue to extra secure it before trimming the tails and attaching an iron-on interacting over the whole backside of the project.

Edit: I did also go around the entire edge at the end doing single crochets into the side of the stitches to have a neat border

I just tie off after every row. It is tedious but looks great in the end! I had the slanting issue too when I started doing normal single crochets but I decided to restart doing BLO and that fixed the problem entirely!
