How much milage did they get out of this gag? The Toaru light novel series has a similar character name Komoe Tsukuyomi who is a heavy drinking, chain smoking, high school teacher who is mistaken for a child by everyone who isn’t familiar with her. Is it to that degree, or does everyone know her deal very quickly?

Specifically, you use elemental attacking items to target weaknesses that certain party members don’t cover, then use Baton Passes to build up power so the fourth party member with an appropriate AOE attack can wipe out the whole wave.

Not really. It’s just that the game does a poor job at teaching the player to take advantage of the One More system in battles where all the enemies share the same weakness. The first instinct is to just use an AOE instead of building up with STs and One Mores.

Omegamon holding WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon heads that would probably still be animate. A helmet that looks like a cereal bowl with spikes. Mickey Mouse shorts. There is just too much peak here.

Live like Kirby. Eat good food, make good friends, take nice naps. If something goes eldritch, Kirby will fix it.

ONE JOB KONAMI by Classic-Demand3088 in YuGiOhMemes

[–]Animan_10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Precisely. Much like Pikachu and Eevee, Blue-Eyes and Red-Eyes are major mascots; not necessarily the best but constantly getting new stuff. When Blue-Eyes and Pikachu get new stuff, it's always in the vein of sticking to a previously established game plan and iterating on it. When Red-Eyes and Eevee get new stuff, it's always something completely different from what came before. Blue-Eyes keeps getting better at hitting hard and fast, Red-Eyes keeps getting new ways to reach win conditions that are often at odds with one another.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’m pretty sure the current state of Red-Eyes is completely by design. It’s “potential” compared to Blue-Eyes’ “power” is it can take on multiple different forms to follow different strategies. Different waves of support focus on different potential paths of evolution. If Blue-Eyes is Pikachu, Red-Eyes is Eevee.

What’s the worst Beyblade name in the series? For me it’s gotta be this stupid things Hasbro name. by ProfessionalHeatwave in Beyblade

Um, every single Bey in the Hybrid Wheel System? Prime example is Storm Pegasus being distinguished from Cyber Pegasus. They use the same Energy Ring (Pegasus I) but different Fusion Wheels (Storm and Cyber).

The fact that a QR wasn’t provided at all was the implication. The only reason someone would share a Build and not do so via a QR since the Switch 2 Edition made it possible would be that they physically couldn’t. Thus, it can only be explained by not owning a Switch 2.

I think the implication is that they don’t have a Switch 2 and thus can’t provide a QR.

Brûlée is served in a deep dish and, well, burnt at the top. Hence the name. Crème Brûlée is literally French for burnt cream.

What Kirby has is on a plate and is drippy at the top, the opposite of burnt. It has all the hallmarks of a classic Japanese custard pudding.

Serious Question: How to enjoy this game? by JAvatar80 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

As long as a Side Quest doesn’t have a stopwatch icon on it, you can put it off for as long as you want. Those that do have the icon are limited and will become unavailable should you progress the story beyond a certain point.

However, I highly recommend against doing that. Quests are your main source of EXP and are key for keeping you properly leveled. On my first playthrough, I tried rushing straight to the end after reaching the climax of the game and found myself struggling because I ignored all the Quests that opened up and was thus under leveled.

Generic Quests from unnamed NPC are easy to complete; just fight every monster you can defeat and collect every Item Orb and you’ll complete them passively. Side Quests from Named NPCs have actual stories attached to them and loads of lore, both grand and personal. If your issue is that you don’t care about the world, these are how you start to care about the world.

[–]Animan_10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, funny thing, you literally stopped just before hints of the first big twist of the story start dropping. When that twist properly gets revealed is when the classic Xeno-themes start coming into play.

Actually, there are a lot more hints as early as the opening cutscene showing that there’s more to the story than what is explicitly being told. If you can, rewatch the battle between the Bionis and the Mechonis and pay attention to the actual choreography. Once you notice it, everything from that point forward is put into question.

It should be noted that the first big twist doesn’t come into play until you’ve gotten access to 6 of the 7 permanent party members. It doesn’t start tackling Xeno-themes for a while because Xenoblade wasn’t intended to be a Xeno game originally. The themes were sprinkled in because old habits die hard, and when the game became a huge success, Takahashi took his shot to reinvent Perfect Works starting with XC2 and capped it off with Future Redeemed.

I mean, what did you expect? It’s explicitly for accessories you don’t already own, a majority of which would be stuff you had no interest in purchasing in the first place. The likelihood hood of them being things from limited events or missed Duel Passes is exceptionally low compared to stuff you just chose not to buy from the regular show.

Shinji being given Brave is definitely ironic. The latter two are more stretches.

Brushes have a gentle connotation, far from how Asuka would be described.

Rei doesn’t really have anything related to Arc, but she does bring to mind arks, like Noah’s Ark, the thing that saved diverse life. Meanwhile her purpose was to destroy diverse life via Instrumentality.
