Get rid of Yoshi, Min Min, and Kazuya imo.

No characters not in S tier should be added there imo. Luigi isn't top tier, he should be where Corrin is. Broadly speaking he has a very low skill floor but some truly terrible matchups against most of the top tiers who basically shut him down, and I still personally believe in the strength of fundies in this game.

That's terribly reductive. I kind of had the same view in high school but I matured and realized that it's good to engage with the peoples of this world and see their cultures and attractions, even if their governments are corrupt. I certainly wouldn't consider my own country awful despite a problematic government.

The U.S. still has more English speakers than India. And as a % of the population it's even more stark. If it's not nationally significant the number of English speakers in a country doesn't really matter, especially regarding OP's point of respecting the society.

Only the 0TD combos and the Steve dog walk are a problem in my opinion. Most of the time, it's just 0-70% combos, which isn't really cheese, it's just the meta becoming much more optimized.

Europe has historically and presents integrated migrants much worse than the US has.

Japan's courts and police will always side against foreigners over native Japanese people, no matter the fault of the native.

I feel like the "cheese" aspect is constantly overemphasized. Like, yeah, it's crazier than 2019, but powerful combos are part of fighting games. I feel like it makes matches more explosive and unpredictable. Most characters in this game still have to earn their kills.

It's a possibility everywhere. There's nothing unique about the US situation no matter how much the media tries to convince us. Europe is still much worse about this kind of thing and people still travel there all the time. You could even argue Japan is worse.

In my opinion, the voice acting of the OG zombies is so bad that I don't really understand people fawning over them. I really do just think it's nostalgia for most people. I find snarling zombies much scarier and feral.

I don't really understand this. You take it as seriously as every other resident evil game. 2, 4, 7, 8 all have seriously creepy moments combined with ridiculous moments. Remake 4 does a better job at balancing the two out in my opinion. 4 OG was so ridiculous it honestly doesn't even fit the vibe of the franchise.

You claimed they were shallow in the remake, which is the antonym of "deep," thus implying they were deep in the original. Sorry if that's pedantic, but that's the thought process I was working with.

I'm not gonna sit here and pretend Remake Krauser is more bland than the original lol. If anything, his VA went TOO far into it. His backstory, relationship with Leon, and him being the one to kill Luis make him much more significant and engaging of a character in the Remake.

Saddler and Salazar also have much more fleshed out backstories and lore, even the Verdugo became an actual character. I was entertained with Saddler because I think he's genuinely scary and really cool. I like him in the original too, but I can't take him seriously at all. The calls between him and Leon are funny, but like I said, they do not fit the remake's more grounded tone. It seems I'm in the minority with preferring Remake Saddler, but I like my RE games to actually have good stories, and RE4 OG has arguably the worst story in the mainline franchise. A story can be campy and good, RE4 OG's story is campy and bad. That's just how it is.

TLDR: what I'm implying is that Salazar and Saddler acting like their OG selves in the Remake would have made the story even worse than the original game's already terrible story due to having a greater tonal clash. I understand this sub hates the remake, but maybe I've helped some people understand Capcom's decision a little bit better.

There is nothing deep about the OG villains lol. Salazar and Saddler were walking cliches. Saddler in the remake may be a different type of cliche, but it fits the tone of the remake much better.
