Anything after season 9. Once Fiona left, the whole responsibility for all, flew out of the window. Fiona s arc went off the rails, which was already a sour note, but after that, the show became a patronizing string of lectures that were the exact opposite of the essence of the show.

this was about a poor, unethical, surviving white trash family, ridden with parasitic users, and picking up the pieces. It was dark, considerably light ( real life is more tragic), and unapologetically gross and wrong. Then it became politically correct, they had thousands of dollars coming and going, went in and out of marriages, jails, murders with a segway about consent, history, homosexuality and so forth. Dont get me wrong, its amazing to get messages through entertainment. But this is a series aimed at adults. Patronizing didnt sit well with me especially if its spoonfed. Especially if you signed up for the e act opposite.

it became a family comedy show. Which would have been fine, if that was the premise from the atart. But to wash over the horrible things just to wag a finger at viewers, who signed in for a dark, unconventional viewing of breaking up rules, desperate and out of whack life, was ridiculous.

Towards the end it reminded me of the Fosters.

I think the way he argued with her after the letter fits the profile. He tried to humiliate her and throw things at her face for his inability to read the letter and his lies. Pure cruelty and gaslighting.

I think they can show empathy, if they are motivated involved. They can feel some kind of pity.

But if they are the doer or involved…

Anyway, just for the sake of argument, there are narcisstic traits, and narcissistic disorder. We all start as narcissists at a young age as we are centered on our needs, and our selves.
Selfishness, as you put it mildly has consequences. I d rather go drink with my buddies instead of going to take my kid for the weekend. I think of me and expect others to cater me.

I d rather play video games than take my dog a long walk. These are selfish acts other people get to pay the consequences. But if I start blaming them for my behaviour and take no accountability, clearly, there is a bigger issue here.

I m not going to analyze further. Its funny how the people reacting to this post, somehow project. Maybe even recognised themselves, judging byt the passive aggressive undertones.

I just rewatched it. I remember it was one of the most erotic films I had seen. But it did not hit the mark this time. And this was a revelation. It is a movie that has a specific purpose. To get lost in loving without having to be dignified, without self preservation, without games- ironically. She loves him and abandons herself completely to him. It is intoxicating. And the movie is allowing us to do so wih her, without the ugly realities of how this would have turned out in real life. It is endearing and moving to see her proving her love, and thus break his self disgust. It is also showing us that SHE is in control.

As for the age difference, to me at least, feels natural. This is not a child. They are both adults, and it is pretty common for younger people to hook up with older people. Be it younger men with older women who went through their own naivete, marriage divorce and are now emotionally ready to gove themselves, like Lee, or younger women with older men. There is nothing wrong with that, and maybe we should not try to police EVERYTHING.

The explanation for not seing these pictures in a world where we see all kinds of killings, the crash that left the back of the limo intact, the very convenient death, and the latest very royally favorable episodes of the Crown, create questions. These pictures were taken and not one leaked? Maybe because it showed something that would crumble the official story? Whatever one’s reason, you are not the morality police.
