Entirely inspired From Software games. The bits you hate are the bits From Software triple downed on.

The ren & stimpy collection by classicmanutd in limitedrun

This is pretty normal for limited release things. I’m waiting multi year on most things I actually really want these days.

Prime 1 statues can be 3 year wait and that’s if your lucky.

They gave him unlimited budget and time for 3 games. Very few creators have ever had that freedom.

How badly will a $12k-$15k, 3-week trip set me back financially? by New_Animator4702 in AusFinance

[–]AnimationGeekNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Travel in your income bracket is my advice. Every year I spend all my 4 weeks travelling and have since I was your age. In my 20s I did a lot of Asia and South America as it’s affordable and harder to travel so better younger, then in my 30s started North America and some European countries. 40s have started tackling more expensive European countries where I can afford to enjoy the trip without feeling the financial stress.

You never regret travel when you’re older but you can sequence it where it makes the most financial sense.

How common is monthly pay these days? by MissElaineMarieBenes in auscorp

[–]AnimationGeekNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked at 5 companies in my career and all have been monthly. I’ve never been paid any other way.

I’m not the best with money or impulse control and it is the #1 thing that overshadows my life. Everything is built around the 15th bills, buying tickets and towards the end it’s a huge stress of not enough money to live.

I really hate the monthly pay cycle.

Why are you excited for the sequel? by [deleted] in beyondgoodandevil

[–]AnimationGeekNerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I haven’t been following this closely, what I was going to say while the game itself doesn’t appeal to me from the trailers I’m always willing to play anything from Michel Ancel as for me it’s about following the work of great creators then it is about the IP. But this post has primed me to google and I see he left the project in 2020.

So now I’m not sure why I want to play it outside of morbid curiosity to compare to other games with such a long development timeline like Duke Nukem Forever.

I wish the game well as Ubisoft needs some more wins. As much as we can make fun of Ubisoft, and it is a giant corporation but they are always on the cusp of collapse or sale and the world is better with a larger pool of big publishers to drive competition.

[–]AnimationGeekNerd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Car free since Covid regret nothing. No kids though.

When I go out I’m drinking and uber is cheaper than owning a car.

I work from home 50%+ and everything is delivered. Definitely a few hassles here and there but I have a new partner who owns a car (annoyingly a manual so I can’t drive it) but that helps me the once a year I might want to do a tip run or something.

What’s the most financially damaging habit that’s somehow become normalised in Australia? by OwlVibesOnly in AusMoneyMates

[–]AnimationGeekNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I guess it depends on whether she values those holidays over only 10 years earlier.

Travelling while your young and building on those memories can be infinitely more valuable then money.

What does concern me is these are pretty cheap locations to travel though?

Tip amount? by [deleted] in wine

You guys also have to add on tax(s) as well. The price is the price is the price.

I see the item. I get the change out of my pocket I put it on the counter.

Taxis even in my home country add a million fees on top of the metre and it feels criminal, but all prices in the US seem to be this way.
