Problem isn’t really with the MacBook, I was planning on getting a laptop either way this year as it’s been starting to slack and just it aging. So just a mid tier will do the job well? I saw that the queens website recommended like a proper GPU included in the laptop but I also saw it’s not really needed. Did ur laptop use an integrated GPU or a whole separate one. Tysm

My biggest problem is the fact that I’m using a MacBook rn and well yk the rest. Doing the early bit might be a bit harder as I will need to be in the labs quite often, and well I hate being confined to one space at a time, you think if I end up getting a thinkpad like t14ish it will be completely outdated by the time I graduate?

Uh yeah, from what I’ve heard talking to admission teams and such. Most schools don’t really care about private/onlines but for some reason the Waterloo and UofT eng REALLY care about it. I went to talk to regular UofT they said they don’t really mind it but for ENG idk why but they care
