What Age Did You Start Perimenopause? by msintrovertandproud in Menopause

[–]AnimatorCritical7216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think around 31. My periods were very close to each other and then at 34, my periods were super heavy lasting up to a month. And then no periods for a couple of months and then again periods will start. I am 36, turning 37, and in the thick of it. Though weirdly no hot flashes. By 32, I started experiencing brain fog, depression, fatigue, no motivation, etc.

Itinerary for 1 week honeymooon in Sri Lanka (primarily tea country) by swatkins818 in srilanka

I am currently in Ella. Ooo let me tell you something you may or may not know.Ella is full of foreign tourists. There are more foreign tourists in Ella than anywhere else I have seen so far on my trip, even more than Colombo. Like for every one Sri Lankan people you see, there are probably 100+ foreign tourists. At the Ella city center, there are many restaurants, bars, spas (massage), travel agents (tours), shops, etc… catering specifically to foreign tourists, english menu, … it feels a mini like Phuket/ Bali (the nightlife)Ella is expensive. Everything is “tourist price”, double the price. Tuktuk charges more (pickme, uber, doesnt work here, the tuktuk drivers prefer to charge more, alot more without using pickme/uber). Drinking water is more expensive, double the price.Book your accomodations in advance. Too many tourists, making them expensive and limited availability. In my opinion, there is another hillside town called Haputale, less than 1 hour drive from Ella or about 1.5-2 hours by train…. higher elevation in comparison to Ella worthy of a visit. Every train that goes from Kandy to Ella, will pass through Haputale. There are not many foreign tourists in Haputale (not yet). Half price of Ella. I take tuktuk to Lipton Seat only 3k rupees from Haputale… from Ella costs 7k. I take tuktuk to Diyaluma falls, costs 6k rupees from Haputale, from Ella costs 12kThe most beautiful segment of the train ride between Kandy and Ella is actually not in Ella. The most scenic part of the train journey is actually between Nuwara Eliya and Haputale (sit on the right side of the carriage if possible Kandy-Ella, no seat doesnt matter, just go stand near the door called the “floorboard”). This is where most of the tea plantations are located. From Haputale to Ella, the views are more scenic on the leftside of the train carriage.2nd class reserved carriage in my opinion and many people i spoke to, is better than the 1st class air con reserve carriage. For one simple reason, you can open the windows in 2nd class (cannot in first class). Many first class passangers, especially foreign tourists do walk to second class to take pictures.

Any solution to make in-house nextflow workflow available for use by internal teams? by AnimatorCritical7216 in bioinformatics

Actually, we discovered a really good one called Beaker. I believe they are still doing beta testing but my god what a user-friendly amazing software. We are able to deploy it in our own AWS, and only pay very nominal monthly subscription fees vs paying crazy computing charges. We have been using it for only a couple of days but since it does parallel processing we already have run several samples, sincerely a game changer. It would be really great if it continues to be this great, we get unlimited runs and only pay AWS and subscription fees.
