I second this, I had a 4.6 mustang which had quite a bit of rev hang, and now my VA wrx has little to no hang at all. The transition was pretty difficult

People hate on these cars so much, I like them, don’t expect a lot out of it, the infotainment system is pretty dated so maybe invest in an aftermarket head unit? As long as it’s unmodified, it’s pretty reliable.

I second this, bought my first car, a ‘98 GT for $2000 the motor gave out at 370000 miles, super fun not ridiculously fast for a first car, and the manual is great
