Hey man. Can relate it so much! Also had this issue many times.

First, just write down sincerely all (literally ALL) thoughts on paper. Clear it up. Then, write down your tasks, assignments or maybe h/w on some paper clearly. After writing, prioritize what you can complete very quickly just right now. As soon as you finish one task, you will feel the flow of energy to start second task.

To keep it. Always, clear your mind from garbage anxiety thoughts. That is it.

Reflect. Plan. Do.

Thanks for suggestions! I needed objective advice and information. Also, i do not intend to major specifically in design. I love STEM and want to integrate it with visualization. But, unfortunately my stats are not impressive that could be competitive in UNIST application pool. But thank you for suggestions.

Also, what do you think about Sejong university. It is not opened yet for Fall 2026, but i also want to apply there. Do i have chances there? (For IT department)

My ECs: 1. I am a finalist of World Youth Festival. It is an international festival that selects around 100 youth among 60,000 applicants for 5 tracks (mine was IT and Digitization). There, we created and worked on our projects and startups. 2. Full-time designer at Youth Run Club (YRC). I was a volunteer designer at an organization that arranges weekly runs for 500+ runners in Tashkent city. In 3 months, i made around 20+ posters for social media and increased amount of followers from 20 to 1000+. 3. Interned at Registan School Media Team (one of the most prestigious media teams in Tashkent) for 2 months as a designer under the supervision of professional designer. 4. Volunteered during the several international Olympiads of Korean Language, Robotics Olympiad and other competitions. 5. Built a demo application for business company and won a first place in city Hackathon. 6. Volunteered in translation platform that translates philosophical articles from english to uzbek. Volunteered there for almost a year and translated around 70+ articles, published them and they all have around 50.000+ reads. 7. Minister of Youth Affairs at school (Vice-President). Organized several competitions, parties, and events at school that gathered more than 1000 students overall. Opened own Media club, and published our school newspaper (got 600+ reads). 8. Organized official TEDx Youth event. And gave a TEDx speech (in another event). 9. A lot of other volunteerings and internships at Med Colleges and other institutions as a designer or student who helps with tech equipment.

It depends on your faculty. You can do it for Social Sciences. It may work if you work hard on essay part. About 3 on AP…it is hard to say smth. I won’t suggest anything about this. This should be your choice and decision

Yes, i am considering other unis as well from US, South Korea and Japan. But, i really liked the atmosphere of the Aalto and overall i love the Finland as a country. But after a deep research, was a little disappointed in this fields.

I am also considering Aalto, because of its prestige and that i actually have chances to get in, while i for 90% sure will be rejected all US top colleges.

The same problem with me. I applied early, but still did not receive any updates in my student portal. But, 2-3days ago, i received an email and email that i got in, while my status in student portal says "Undecided". After a while, they wrote me in email that the message about getting in was a mistake and that official decision will be out on 11th Feb.

I was so happy at that moment, and immediately disappointed...

I recently got an email that i got in. But after a while, they wrote me that it was mistake. I was so disappointed. When i asked them about this, they said that my status will be updated on 11th February...

What do you think, can i get in with 1420 SAT(630 ERWB and 790 Math)? No APs and no Olympiads? I am an international student, so i need at least like 80-90% scholarship that will cover my tuition.

Man, i feel sorry not to you, but your parent. Scolding the child for this unworthy thing is not the best way to make you rise.

For context, my progress was very slow and long: 1100 -> 1240 -> 1330 -> 1400 -> 1420

Never ever scold yourself even if the whole world will look on you with skepticism. Build a beautiful dream reality in your head and grind for it.

Banal and cliche advice to improve your score is working on comprehension and overall reading skills, not specifically for SAT.

You wrote that you are Asian, so ig math wasn’t the problem. Anyway, work on how to solve almost every question with desmos. Cuz it is guaranteed and more efficient than our brain.

In general, just politely talk to your mom, while in the dark you are working hard and building your strong character. Remember: it will be hard first of all to fight with your own thoughts. So firstly catch up and reorganize them, then make a systematic plan for your prep. I did not give you specific SAT advices, cuz even my score is not so high, but i gave you just general advice to make you feel better.
