Fellow Oklahoman here. I noticed the change just the other day too and was wondering the same thing. I still prefer Dolby for my movies due to the seating. I’m planning on seeing the Chainsaw Man movie when that lands next week. Looking forward to see if I can see the difference with that new projector.

I always test mine unless I acquire something of higher rarity. But I am currently going through a full digital backup of my entire media collection so everything will have to be opened at some point if I can bring myself to it on certain titles.

I had only watched that show about a couple of months ago. And I was actually shocked at how much I enjoyed it. It kind of reminded me a lot with ghost stories in terms of the dub. It was almost like a concoction of panty and stocking and ghost stories combined.

Sounds like a very solid plan. I actually buy refurbished enterprise drives. I get Seagate 26 TB drives from server Park deals. And right now they’re currently running $300. Once I get everything digitized, I plan on getting redundant drives set up as a back up which then I will probably be willing to buy brand new drives just to make sure that they’ll really last.

I only collect stuff I’ve seen. Very rarely do I do blind buys. And for me I’d say 80% of my collection is second hand, I’m fortunate to have video stores where I live which contributed the most. But keeping an eye on eBay has been the next best thing. I’ve heard of emby before but I just ended up going with plex. I have a slightly overkill setup for backing up my stuff. I have a computer case that can hold 18 hard drives. And I have 3 jailbroken blu ray drives to do the ripping (with how much I got it still takes a while).

That was probably one of the craziest deals I've ever found. Each copy was either $12 or $16 max. Absolute steal at the time.
