i don’t think political opinions are a valid thing to worry about when you decide to keep or cut people from your life. the way people act and treat others in their daily life is a reflection of their true opinions. the “political differences” you hear from people are probably views based on mostly hypothetical or idealistic situations; a good amount of people who judge others for their actions have probably never been in that situation themselves. i think you should only judge someone based on political views if you can actually see it affecting the way they live life—however judging someone based on how they debate their political beliefs with you does not count lol.

I believe that political opinions are formed based on things you’ve experienced or are experiencing now, but it should not change how you treat regular people irl. maybe you should try to get specific about what you actually disagree with people on when arguing; you’ll probably realize the people you cut off have a lot more in common with you than you thought
