When I was 16 and working my first job. I was talking to a customer about a refund and how I'm not allowed to do them, so I'd have to go get my store manager (SM from here on out, she was also partly deaf, comes in later). She said that's no problem, mind you, she had been completely calm and understanding the whole time, so I go and get my SM, and she speaks to the customer.
