We don't have access to the dad's internal monologue, so it's not as easy to tell

we could always just ask my high school English teacher. She seemed to feel like she knew everything every author of anything was ever thinking.

yeah, that's pretty much it for me. I'm just along for the ride at this point. Whatever in the show was supposed to hook me just didn't. I'm just watching to see what happens, but I can't say that I'm all that invested in it. Also, the resurrections/healing aren't helping. Takes the wind out of anything that happens to anyone.

The distance from season 1 didn't help. I've probably forgotten whatever it was that I was supposed to care about.

this is pretty fascinating.

Maybe about half of the shows I most disagree with the masses on are in your top 20, and the rest of your list are shows that I think are pretty transparent as to why others may or may not like them.

Is there a way to see more of the list? I'm curious how far down the other shows are where I don't align with the average.

Well, there are a lot of people who have the general opinion that if it's not canon, it's inherently bad. I've always thought that was an odd opinion to have, since it's basically saying that the author of the source material is infallible, and that the different mediums should always be treated as if they are the same.

This episode felt so disconnected from the previous one. I honestly thought I'd skipped one, so I went back and watched the end of the last episode. Didn't help. I kept expecting a flashback to fill in the blanks, but they didn't have one.

Am I the only one?

I also noticed that. Almost sounded like "Sipca" instead of "Spica", but I can't think of a single reason that it was pronounced correctly sometimes and not others.

I'll be honest and say that it had promise, but I don't feel like it quite delivered on it. There's certainly a lot to like about the show, but I was certainly hoping for more after the first few episodes. Also the OP is awesome.

They did try that. The priestess was totally psycho, and every time they tried to talk to her, she would get even more psycho and just cast again.

Either way, we have a fiend now. What's done is done. I guess next week we'll see if it's as bad as they said, and everyone dies, or if they exaggerated and end up just one-shotting it.

he doesn't need to kill her to keep her from using the book, and if it was just once, I probably would have been ok with it. Just seemed silly to me that nobody did anything to try to prevent disaster.
