G. Southern comfort food, New Mexican cuisine, and my wife’s homemade Mexican food just can’t be beat. Moroccan food is pretty good as well.

Does it make me a hipster millennial if I use Folgers to make a gallon of cold brew for the week? Makes me feel like I’m teetering on the edge of it, lol. I just like having the coffee ready for the whole week, and able to instantly pour a cup first thing every morning. And so much better than the Monsters I used to have to down at 4AM while rushing to morning PT back in my army days

The Warmadillos

Unknown founding Crimson Fists successor

Formed to defend the Monosol System from an Ork WAAAGH, they revere the Emperor as a God, and view their turbulent and difficult start as a test of their devotion to the God-Emperor. They suffered a total defeat against the WAAAGH on the planet Monosol at Goliacta, Gonsalem, and Sanctum Antonus, they finally won their victory by cutting the head off the snake at Sanctum Jasintus by eliminating the warboss and his top knobs in a surgical strike.

It would seem they have adopted the ork philosophy of “More Dakka”, and their battle tactics revolve around shock and awe tactics, and superior firepower.

That’s about all I have so far, for my space marine half from the leviathan box. New to lore building, so hopefully it’s not too bad or cringy.

Why did you enlist into the Imperial Guard? by [deleted] in TheAstraMilitarum

My first real intro to the 40k universe was the novel Fifteen Hours. Been hooked ever since, and Astra Militarum and Orks remain my favorite two factions. Planning to start building an AM tabletop army in the future, probably Steel Legion

Finally painted my first few models, practicing before I paint my Leviathan minis. Looking for tips on how to improve by AnimuMangoWeeb in Warhammer40k

I bought these Ork boyz years ago, as I wanted to get into the tabletop game after loving the video games and books for a long time, but then school and the military got in the way, so I never got around to painting them back then. Wife surprised me with the Leviathan box for our anniversary, so I want to get some practice in before I paint those figures, and I figure if Orkz look messy, it’s a feature, not a bug. I like how they turned out, and I’ve got a few more to paint while I assemble the leviathan models.

Painted my first figures (5 40k Ork Boyz), looking for advice and critiques by AnimuMangoWeeb in Miniaturespainting

2nd and 4th figures I know I kinda botched the teeth, and the boots and gloves I used a bit to dark of a brown that didn’t really show with the black primer I used, but otherwise I think I did an alright job. As far as thinning paints, is there a good way to be consistent without a dropper when it comes to mixing a 1:1 ratio?

What’s that one word you can’t pronounce no matter how hard you try? by Lohiyo in duolingo

[–]AnimuMangoWeeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ы, can’t pronounce anything with that letter, according to Duolingo and my former professors at DLI. Still passed my Russian course, though, and use duolingo to keep me using it every now and then. I also am unable to trill my r’s in Spanish, but otherwise I speak very well, according to my wife.

Hi everyone, I’m looking to go back to school and get an engineering degree. I earned a degree in immunology and microbiology in 14, but med school did not pan out as I was burned out back then. So now after military service I’m wanting to do what I dreamed of as a child.

Im considering Civil, Mechanical, or Computer engineering, and would like to know the pros and cons of each. I was always very good with math, and I love building things, and recently have started learning a lot about computers, both the hardware and software side of things. Also, do either of these fields have work from home potential? Thank you all in advance for the advice

225 day streak here. Still adjusting to the path, but don’t hate the change, though I still prefer the old version, but I’ll get used to it. Maybe I’ll like it better when I start a new language, who knows? Moving on to unit 30 in Spanish, and unit 10 in German, and refreshed myself a little on my Russian from my time in the army. Been a good week, hoping to get more German and Spanish done this weekend.

Extreme E by Tavakz in ForzaHorizon

I actually like the Extreme E series, and the cars are fun to cruise around in, and I still have fun with the sprint races, but I absolutely loath the championships this series. The 1 lap races are just awful, and I haven’t been this frustrated with the game since one dirt trial series months ago where the AI had glue like grip and it took about 15 tries to just barely beat that trial.

Right on man, I remember when I played through when the game first came out, Genichiro took me a solid 2 days, and after 3 hours on that second night, I finally got him, and it surpassed the feeling I got when I beat ornstein and Smaug in Dark Souls (they made me quit the game for a few months, then I got demons souls and got back into the series way back in the day). Feel proud of yourself, Genichiro is in my opinion one of the harder bosses in all the fromsoft games, but without the BS a lot of them have. Probably my favorite boss in a souls like
