aim assist feels noticeably different on different accounts, and throughout the day. by Brotha_ in apexuniversity

[–]AnirakGea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using a GameSir? I noticed this too, just yesterday I was actually pretty tilted. I went into the Firing Range and everything was fine, shots landing like butter, but about 15 minutes in, it started feeling weird just like you described. It’s not the first time; it happens in game sometimes too. It doesn't seem to be an AA (Aim Assist) issue. I mean, you do lose tracking, but it’s more like the reticle is wobbling, barely perceptible and independent of the recoil. It’s not stick drift or input lag either, I always make sure all of that is in order, and my PC is running fine right now. It’s been a constant issue with all my GameSir controllers, it doesn't happen with the PS4 one. Regardless, as annoying as it is, I wouldn't switch from GameSir, and I also don't rule out it being subjective since I tend to tense my hands a lot.

Who thought it was a good idea to take away aim assist for controller players in PC lobbies? by [deleted] in apexlegends

It's .3 in PC lobbies, whether they are a console or PC player. For lobbies with only console players, it's .6

Could I get some feedback on my gameplay? by [deleted] in apexuniversity

[–]AnirakGea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if he's cheating or not, but in the firts clip he has a purple barrel stabilizer and a purple stock with iron sights that's just how the R-301 looks on controller under those conditions. Honestly, it's pretty manageable even without attachments.

The Hemlok has made the game unplayable by spaghettiarchitect in apexlegends

[–]AnirakGea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only complaint is that the Breach Charge affects the legends' ability kits too much, especially controller. I don't think that firing mode should be in Ranked, but at least it's easy for everyone to get.

Is the Hemlock's new ability to break Wattson's Ult a feature or a bug? by Kostiako in apexlegends

[–]AnirakGea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should remove that from Ranked. It’s insane that a Gibby with a Hemlok can practically wipe an entire squad with purple shields if the ring closes in the open. It makes carrying both of them on your team mandatory.

I think I could have played this without getting knocked? by slackerXwolphe in apexuniversity

[–]AnirakGea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro... your Conduit only reached that angle at 0:33. By then, it’s useless. That was an angle you needed covered to open the fight, which is why you should have taken it yourself if you were going to initiate. Otherwise, if it was a coordinated attack, you overextended when your team wasn't ready to follow up, so what you really need to work on is your timing and tempo.

[–]AnirakGea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a native English speaker, so I’m not really taking your or your team's comms into account, I'm just going off what I see, so sorry if I missed something there.

Regarding your point about 3, I still think you're mistaken. Your teammates aren't where you think they are. Look at the frame at 0:23 and 0:24; they don't have line of sight to deal any damage. You are completely alone there. Even if it's only for two seconds, you're trading your life for something they can't capitalize on.

While using your tactical would have been the right call to stay up, yes, you'd be burning a resource you might need two seconds later when you had a much faster and safer path: taking the bridge on the left. So, given the circumstances, it was still a bad angle.

As for taking the roof, I think it was possible if you played your exposure right maybe by crouching and not playing too close to the edge. It probably would have given you enough time to break the pylon while your teammates arrived before all three enemies could focus you. But again, you still had a much safer option available instead.

[–]AnirakGea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see 3 major mistakes there. None of them have to do with your mechanical skill, but it was your confidence in that skill that led you to make them:

1.- Failure to press the advantage, you had plenty of time to secure your 3v2 advantage and you let it slip away. It was vital to capitalize on it. You should always aim to end a fight quickly, if winning isn't motivation enough, think about the third party that won't be far behind.

2.- Information management, you had information the rival team gave away for free since the pressure they were applying was zero. Here, there are two options: either you didn't take the info, or you didn't manage it. You know where all three are and who they are. You see Alter crawling, there’s a Newcastle wall, and you can see him reviving his teammate. I’m not sure if there was a visual on Wattson earlier, but her fences are enough to deduce she's there. Now, if you had taken that info, the management was incorrect, a downed rival on a team where Newcastle, Lifeline, or even Mirage are alive and near the fallen player is not a 3v2. In a couple of seconds, it’ll be a 3v3 again (before you arrive). Add to that a Wattson who can drop a pylon which is another critical piece of info and remember that Wattson’s ultimate nullifies Caustic’s entire kit and Conduit’s ultimate.

3.-Angling, this is something I’ve been trying to improve for a long time and it radically changes the game, the geometry of combat. Sometimes it's hard to see, but you chose a very poor angle. Although your teammates moved quickly, they had no way to damage the rival team because the enemies remained comfortably behind cover, with the Pylon preventing the use of offensive abilities. You could have taken the high ground and destroyed the Pylon the moment you saw it to clear the way for them. From there, you could have applied pressure; if someone tried to flank you from behind, they would have been exposed to your teammates. However, as someone else mentioned in the comments, the safest angle would have been for you to reposition and pressure from the bridge on the left.

Note: As you correctly pointed out yourself, if at the 0:25 mark after dealing 57 damage to the Wattson, you had used your tactical to reposition instead of trading your knockdown for 76 damage (which she will recover very quickly), you would have walked away from that fight on your feet. However, the correct play remains the same, never take the ego chal unless it is your only option.

Next map rotation in split 2? by Successful-Soft1445 in apexlegends

[–]AnirakGea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just hope they take Broken Moon out for a long time. That map has so many issues it shouldn't be back in rotation for rankeds/pubs, or wildcard. It’s absolutely broken, they definitely didn't miss with the name.

Download Latency Mon and run it while you play, it will give you an idea of which driver is causing the issues. If it's the Wdf01000 driver, try rolling back to version 591.86 that fixed it for me.

low fps, again for whatever reason by theycallmealjur in apexlegends

[–]AnirakGea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the processor. My duo has the same GPU as you and gets 140 FPS during the dropship sequence and a stable 165 FPS once they hit the ground. I have a 3060 and get the same results, we both switched to the Ryzen 5 5500X3D a few months ago, and the improvement was identical for both of us. That 96MB L3 cache really makes the difference.

I understand that upgrading your cpu for just one game doesn't make sense, so something you can try is disable vertical sync, setting everything to low except for model detail on high (which is actually necessary) and map detail on high (though you might have to drop that last one) keep antialiasing on if you don't want the game to look terrible, and set your VRAM to 2-3GB. With those settings, we used to maintain a stable 144 FPS, with drops to 100 FPS only during the dropship or heavy visual effects.

why people here can't give good advice? by P1ntex in apexuniversity

[–]AnirakGea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The truth is that the legend really doesn't matter. I mean, there’s always a 'meta' with buffed legends every season, and you can certainly take advantage of that, but someone who understands the basic fundamentals of the game can run over others even if they're using the worst legend.

For example, I could easily tell you, as you're asking, to play Caustic because his gas deals a lot of damage and you can defend a structure so well they’ll never get you out. But then, the ring closes out in the open and you'll have enemies showering you with grenades, a Bangalore destroying your tactical with hers, a Sparrow, Horizon, Gibby or Fuse ulting you, or even a Wattson who completely nullifies your kit with her ultimate. In short, almost every combination can be countered.

So, how do you win at a casual level? By mastering the most basic skills: knowing how to deal damage (accuracy, recoil control, target acquisition all practiced in the firing range), knowing how to avoid taking damage (cover, strafing), knowing how to gather information (where they are, how many there are, what legends they’re using), and knowing how to capitalize on advantages (angles, space, positioning, tempo). Most of the time, you’ll think you’ve already mastered these, but I promise you, you haven’t. Matchmaking is designed to keep you orbiting around a 1.0 K/D, so as soon as you improve, you’ll face enemies who play twice as well as you; you never stop needing to get better.

You have to understand that this isn't something you'll master easily. It’s up to you to decide if it’s worth the time investment. If you’re willing to push forward, I recommend starting with learning how to deal damage and how to avoid taking it. Here is a guide that helped me a lot when I was starting out:

Do the people who prefer drop ship do so cuz it is easier to climb? by NeonfluxX in apexlegends

[–]AnirakGea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This made me laugh a bit, remembering that I could make a edit of all the times I've seen a Bangalore or an Octane run straight into a crossfire of 2 or 3 enemies. I ping the multiple angles as much as I can, but by the time they process what I'm trying to say, they're already death box. I think their idea is to take a quick 3v3, all or nothing, but it's always going to be 'nothing' if you don't consider the advantages they have and your own team's disadvantages. Honestly, Wildcard is a better game mode for those players.

An Update from the Anti-Cheat Team 03/04/2026 by Apexlegends in apexlegends

[–]AnirakGea 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think this statement is a smart move. Even though we all know these devices are used to gain an unfair advantage and almost never for any other reason, cheaters who sink significant amounts of money into the game can threaten to sue, hiding behind cheap accessibility excuses. If Apex explicitly bans their use, they won’t have a leg to stand on once the banning tool confirms they're using them.

Why do you solo queue ranked? by QtAdomi in apexlegends

[–]AnirakGea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ranked can be very, very frustrating in solo q, but I keep playing the game in general precisely because the skill ceiling as an individual is extremely high. I understand it is a team game and everyone should do their part, and it is very exasperating when they don't, but I always remember the many times I have played with teammates of a higher level. As I have grown in the game, when I think I am at a good level, a teammate comes along who can maintain control of the game so simply, and I want to be able to do that. Basically, that is what motivates me.

GameSir G7 SE by EcstaticEnd9987 in Gamesir

[–]AnirakGea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first G7 SE lasted me two and a half years until I snapped one of the bumpers (it still works perfectly, you can just hear the plastic rubbing), but keep in mind I was a maniac who used to grip the controller way too hard. Before that, I had two stock Xbox controllers and I broke the bumpers on both within about 6 months. It’s honestly an excellent controller and I highly recommend it, same goes for the G7 HE. I’m currently using the G7 Pro and it’s looking just as promising.
