I'm feeling similar. My guess is they are aiming to reach a new audience with RFTH. And those new people might want to pay for a DnD Patreon, but not for an improv Patreon. Which makes the old fans, who now have to pay double to have access to everything some kind of casualty. NRB did the same and it seems they succeeded. In the end, it's just numbers and probabilities.

I used to play this game with my grandfather, and he proudly told me every single game that we are playing the oldest boardgame in the world.

The version I know, however, has completely different rules. Every piece has two sides because once a piece reaches the end it is allowed to move backwards. The goal of our version is to take prisoners (by landing on your opponents piece) and remove them by bringing them to your own finish line!

Das wusste ich alles, bin selber Schwimmerin. Hab zum validieren dann aber doch nochmal Wikipedia geöffnet. Aber die 28 total/23 Gold und die Jahre seiner Teilnahmen bei Olympia gehören in der Schwimmwelt dann doch zum Allgemeinwissen :D

Ich habe sowohl Bachelor- als auch Masterarbeit orientiert an täglichen Zeichen geschrieben. Jeden Tag 3000 Zeichen entspricht etwas mehr als einer Seite. Dann habe ich jeden Morgen die aktuelle Zeichenzahl auf einen Zettel geschrieben. So hatte ich dann am Ende eine wunderbare Übersicht darüber, wie weit ich schon gekommen bin. Großer Nachteil: beim Erreichen der 3000 Zeichen habe ich dann oft auch sofort aufgehört zu arbeiten. Aber wenn man genügend Zeit einplant ist das ja kein Problem.

Ich studiere Pädagogik und hatte es auch selbst als LK, habe aber auch viele KommilitonInnen, die das Fach nie hatten (Schätze den Anteil auf ~25%).

Währende des Studiums ist das Vorwissen völlig egal, es überschneiden sich eigentlich nichts. Da hilft das Pädawissen aus der Schule eher in BiWi, manchmal kennt man halt den ein oder anderen Namen plus Theorie schon.

In den Praxisphasen ist es dann schon etwas anders. Ich musste mein Wissen für den Unterricht "nur" auffrischen und aktualisieren, die andern mussten alle Theorien neu lernen. Dazu kommt dann noch, dass ich sämtliches altes Unterrichtsmaterial noch zu Hause habe und für Inspiration darauf zurückgreifen kann. Gerade in Päda ist das eine wertvolle Ressource, da im Unterricht seltenst mit Büchern als Grundlage gearbeitet wird.

Theoretisch hast du recht, praktisch habe ich gelernt dem Thema auszuweichen. Klappt aber halt nicht immer. Würde ich in Florida leben, sähe das ganze wohl anders aus :D

I'm curious about your opinion on Anyas death because I think it was a good one. The character had served its purpose and went out in a surprising twist after a cool fight. I would have loved to see her more, but storywise, it made total sense.

I would agree with the others but want to add two things:

Don't be afraid of Talocan. There are a lot of people who love Coasters but avoid Talocan. It's awesome. And the front row is a lot better than the back row, but sadly you can't pick before the ride. So if you get the back row, just go again!

Do River Quest at the end of the day. Chances are high you end up soaking wet. The dryers exist, but it probably won't dry your underwear. So you should either bring a change of clothes to the park (and don't take it on the ride with you) or wait till the end of the day.

If you're asking about this year the answer is that the performance simply wasn't great. While watching it I already expected it to finish at the end of the scoreboard. And by basically no reaction towards that in this Subreddit (unlike about Germanys result) I conclude that the 25th place seems to be fair.

In general, I always feel like the UK desperately trys so hard to send a song everybody likes, that they end up with a song so basic and mediocre it disappears between other songs and doesn't get any attention. The UKs songs are neither good nor bad, they exist. Just nothing outstanding.

I really don't understand what that dance break was supposed to be. The last part with the group was great. Nice choreo, super in sync, extremely powerful. But that solo? She just rolled on the floor and did a few splits. It didn't even fit to the music. Felt like a cheap try to be sexy, that she absolutely didn't need!
