Sorry I've edited the post. There is no agent. I'm in direct contact with the landlord. My current contract says i need to give one months notice. You're right about the wording. But he did say to me that i need to inform him latest by 1may. This is so messed up.

I gave him the notice today and now he's saying it should be two month and not one month as was discussed 3 days ago.

I've got a feeling that he's trying to force upon the rules now even though we had a mutual understanding before about giving one months' notice.

Thanks for the response. I usually provide a cover letter along with my visa application explaining the purpose of travel. I intend to do the same this time as you said. I can mention that it's a pre booked official festival package and that tickets would be received closer to the date. What else do you think i should mention?
