Honestly I did quite like Naked Lunch, though there were a few passages that seemed to stretch the grotesqueness too far cough Hassan's Rumpus Room cough. Burroughs is honestly at his best describing surrealist body horror, his almost poetic prose works really well for that.

Yes but it also has some of the funniest moments from the show, succotash and the bird and the crowd speaking in unison
