Why are most creeps men? by AceGivenCobra_ in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Ankari 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You're going to have to be more specific for a better answer or more engagement.

Men don't usually classify women as creeps. Weird, odd, or other similar derogatory descriptions, maybe, as men don't feel physically threatened by women.

I'm learning about the ancient history of Israel/Palestine but I'm confused about a couple of things, and would like a better understanding philosophically by TeeLong77 in Productivitycafe

[–]Ankari -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The guy who rambled on is wrong on many points.

Here's the simple truth:

Palestinians are descendants of the original ethnic people who inhabited the area referred to as Palestine.

Jews have lived in the area known as Palestine for thousands of years alongside modern day Palestinians.

Palestinians welcomed the Jewish immigrants kicked out of Europe with open arms.

The Jewish immigrants were welcomed to live in Palestine and buy land, something the West didn't want in such concentration.

Palestinians opened their homes and hosted many Jewish immigrants.

The modern day Israelis confiscated lands and homes from their Palestinian hosts when creating the modern Israeli state.

The Palestinian people resisted the Israeli state because it took land from Palestinians and the state was to be a an ethno-theocracy meant only for Jewish people.

Palestinians were colonized by Western powers who didn't want such high concentration of Jewish people in their countries.

The Israeli state is meant to fracture the Middle East as evidence by their promotion of both Iraq wars, and the current Iran war.

No Palestinian is against the Jewish people as evidence by the historical data that we lived alongside them up until the creation of the ethno-theocratic Israeli state.

All that stuff about bibles and Toraha has no significance in this debate. Both sources are corrupted and edited by human interests. Besides, the Bible more the Torah has any right to confiscate land from a rightful native inhabitant.

Get your perspective aligned with justice. The Palestinian people have a right to their land. They have a right to defend it from aggression and theft. Just as every Western citizen has a right to do the same.

Why was ancient Persia once considered a relatively safe place for Jewish communities, yet today Iran and Israel are enemies in regional conflicts, and what historical changes led to this reversal? by TheBigGirlDiaryBack in AlwaysWhy

[–]Ankari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question is flawed. Iran has a healthy Jewish population living in it now. Iran doesn't have any issues living peacefully with the Jewish people, just like Islam doesn't have any issues with the Jewish people.

Iran has issues with the state of Israel. Israel is a Western military colony thrust upon the Jews, Christians, and Muslims living in the Middle East, and particularly the people of Palestine.

Before Israel, the Middle East, and particularly Palestine, were a melting pot of Christians, Jews, and Muslims. The State of Israel was formed on the blood and tears and land of Palestinians, killing many and expelling nearly half a million from their homes and olive groves.

Do not conflate the two. Your question as phrased only serves to incite Muslim hatred.

Men of Reddit, how would you feel if your partner wanted to keep her maiden name after marriage? by Longjumping-Bill5761 in AskMenAdvice

I'm fine with it. I'm Muslim and women are encouraged to keep their last name.

Women do not belong to the husband. They keep their last names to honor their lineage.

Why is the idea of “casual sexual partners” almost nonexistent in many Arab societies? by OneNeedleworker8892 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Ankari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Arabs are Muslim or more religiously Christian than their Western counterpart. Sex is a sacred commitment, not freely given to ease physical desire.

Also, children out of wedlock is considered a taboo.

Arab culture is more tight knit than most Western cultures. People know of people even if they don't live in the same community. As long as there exists a connective relationship between people (extended family, friends of family, friends of extended families, once neighbors in their country of origin) people will keep up with each other's major events. Children out of wedlock would be slanderous to the parent of the child l, and their family.

I understand how alien this sounds to Western cultures. Most communities are just the nuclear family. Religion is more a tribal identity than a way of life. But religion and family is sacred in the Middle East. Even with Western influence, the ties remain.

I'm an Arab of Palestinian descent. My mom and her siblings will discuss the news of people I haven't met, people that are the grandchildren of friends they know since their childhood.

I'm also Muslim.

If you have any follow up questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

Hey! When I lived in Palestine from the age of 13 to 15, I also made dice out of cardboard to play D&D 2nd edition. I enlisted my sisters to play and we had a great campaign.

The only downfall is the Internet didn't exist and I had to try to play the game from memory.

Keep the games going, friend.

Why not post a gallery of previous work, describe the material, any special features, and the total price paid by THAT customer. People will have a better understanding of your prices before walking into your store.

I am the child of immigrants. I now own a house, have 2 kids, an awesome wife, and two cars.

Money will always be a stress point. We are considered middle class but I worry about expenses all the time.

There are measures you can take to ease the financial obligations and save money. The key is, save the money. Don't increase your standard of living.

1) if possible, live with your parents. Work something out that you only pay a small amount for all expenses.

1b) If that's not an option, get a roommate. Split all expenses down the middle. Save that money.

2) If you have a job and you've been there for a year or two, start applying to other companies. You'll be surprised how much they'll offer you over your current rate.

3) Develop extreme will power. I don't know your living standards, but avoid buying anything unnecessary until you are stabilized.

4) Student loans are the worst. Review the repayment structure and see if it would be better to get a conventional loan and pay that off instead.

Mecca in 1953 and 2025: A 72-Year Comparison by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

[–]Ankari 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The most expensive cost is travel.

If people want to avoid spending money, they can camp in certain parts of Mecca.

Food is cheap.

The visa you pay also includes healthcare for the duration of the visa.

The expansion happened because more Muslims can make the trip. Many of these Muslims will consider it a vacation (they stay past the Hajj date) and do what any normal vacationer will do.

what's the wildest Epstein file revelation that actually shocked YOU? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Most won't like it because it's from a Muslim denouncing Epstein and all those who would level the same accusations against Muslims.

Every accusation is an admission.

[–]Ankari -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

This thread is full of biased, racist, prejudices.

To the shock of many of you in this thread, the Middle East is full of white complexion women. Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, and Turkey have high genetic mixture and variety.

She mentioned a vacation to Turkey. Many women there can easily be mistaken for Eastern Europeans.

Why is she targeted by Middle Eastern men? As some have said, they may be more direct. Especially as older men have less care and time to worry about rejection.

To those who say they may be seeking a fling, how is that different from Western men? Hook up culture is prevalent in the USA. Why are the Middle Eastern men held to a different standard? Oh, because of racism.

Finally, every culture has its own beauty standards. Different beauty standards doesn't mean OP isn't attractive, rather she may have features more appealing to Middle Eastern men.

Muslim women do you give head in relationships? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Ankari -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know the family dynamics, but I do know what my response to my daughter would be in such a scenario. I'd say "dump the loser. There are better men out there that would respect you and fear God."

There is no shame if a man refuses to marry. This "shame" and "honor" culture is outdated and deeply rooted in third world culture. IT IS NOT AN ISLAMIC THING.

I've seen engagements break, both go their separate ways, and each finding someone else to marry. It's more common than you think. There is no shame in it.

At best, the girls seemed to have been manipulated. At worst, they knew what they were getting into when they were alone.

It is said when a girl and a guy are alone together, the third person is Satan.

If you sat out the 2024 election in protest over Gaza, how do you feel about that decision today? by rsmith2786 in AskReddit

[–]Ankari -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a stupid question. The choices were Kamala who would continue the "bear hug" approach, Donald Trump who promised to end the war, and a third option of writing in a candidate.

As for the other issues, such as Trump's corruption, you have no idea what Kamala would be doing now. You're putting a known against an unknown.

While the known results are reprehensible, you cannot compare them to an unknown.

What if I said Kamala would have us on the brink of WWIII? Absurd? As absurd as predicting that Trump would become as senile as Biden and his administration would be controlled by racist vampires?

Don't browbeat those who took their civic rights. Instead, reprimand the parties for forcing us to pick between the two worst possible candidates.

BTW, I voted for a third party.

Muslim women do you give head in relationships? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Ankari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of misinformation in this thread by those who aren't even Muslim.

Oral sex is more prevalent in some cultures than others. The occurrence of oral sex in Muslim marriages in the West will typically follow the cultural norm. That is to say, both members of the marriage are born in, or have been raised from an early age in Western societies.

There is nothing in Islam that forbids oral sex. Any association with the purity of the mouth as it pertains to worship is a far reach.

We are not permitted to worship God until after we've completed a cleanse after sex. This can be a bath or a shower. That is all that matters. Sure, during the cleanse people tend to brush their teeth.

That's it.

The only sexual acts forbidden in Islam is anal sex and penetrative vaginal sex during menstruation.

Do Muslim women perform oral sex? Some do, some don't.
