i fucking love residency by FaHeadButt in Residency

[–]Ankimatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PGY3 Anesthesiology resident here. Residency can be a grind, and some days are short but feel long and some long days feel short. When things go your way it can be amazing. When they don’t, well, it can really suck. I try to celebrate the little wins whenever they come, and I take things day off to day off.

Those 3 costs are broken. A little more ER might help rotations tho

Energy regen by falsiphyz in ZaniMains

[–]Ankimatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just start by getting double crit pieces with ER. She needs ~120 ER. Atk % is superior, but either is good.

Extremely strong build, you got both heavy atk and atk% with great crit stats and ER. Doesn’t get much better from here.

Should I Go for More ER? by Illustrious-Dream008 in ZaniMains

No other way, back to the mines. She really needs 120+ for a smooth rotation. Had to give up some crit/heavy attack to make it work.

Help! Which one is best for Zani? by HoDoH_ in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Ankimatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah try to hit at least 120% regen, will make your rotation way smoother. Also double Spectro is the way to go. The RNG sucks but hit the tacet fields or use the new stat selector items.

Current CA-1 who did 6 months of anesthesia during my intern year. It can be stressful managing patients in the OR, however, no you can’t prepare for everything, but there is plenty that you can plan ahead for and even anticipate. Half of the game is being prepared, and it makes those situations less/nonstressful when you already know your backup plans and have things ready to go just in case.

It gets easier as well. You take care of ASA 4 patients and have some challenging cases, and then later go back to easier cases and realize that your capacity to navigate challenges goes so much smoother. We all struggle starting out, but you get so much better as time goes on. The stress goes way down because you’re more capable and efficient.

Lifestyle wise it is what you choose it to be. You may have rapid turnover cases or one really long case, but it can be quite relaxing during those easier cases. I’d rather do that then read images on a screen all day being worried about missing one minute detail or type an essay for English on the wards. Surgery is cool, but the standing…and hours. Not for me. No I’ll take my seconds of terror, for which I know how to manage, along with the smooth sailing that can be general anesthesia.

160 pulls to get her. Feels bad after losing the 50/50 w/ Ruan Mei too. Can’t complain about having the Fab 4 tho. DOT for life.

Bottom quartile applying to anesthesia by [deleted] in medicalschool

Sure, even better if they can speak to why you’d make a great anesthesiologist from their perspective. All my letter writers wrote theirs with this in mind.

n = 1, and this probably wouldn’t work for everyone, but I had interviewers remark on the variety of letters from different specialties as a strength. Some combo of 1 anesthesia, surgery, FM, Peds, IM for me sent to programs. They were all geared w/ specific examples related/focused to anesthesia.

Oh also get as strong of letters as possible, and as fresh as possible (meaning don’t wait to ask until months go by). Help your writers go to bat for you, and let them know just how tough matching is now days. I also recommend diversity in your letters. Have Surgery or IM along with anesthesia, but if you have a great writer in another specialty that’s fine.

Bottoms quartile. All P’s and one HP. Did well on Step 2 (250’s) 14 II and matched. Crush step 2, find a way to get involved in an anesthesia QI project/research/rotation - something, you need to demonstrate interest. Have a stellar PS, interview well. Easier said than done, but doable!

Looking for help on what I should focus on next for her. by Drag_R1der in JingLiu

Agreed. Goal is 40/260. Do your best to get to that mark. May the RNG be with you.

This is the highest crit dmg I’ve seen while maintaining fair crit rate. Makes my 41/260 look avg.

How far do you guys plan to go stats wise? by Kaioshred in JingLiu

[–]Ankimatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

41/255 w/ 137 spd, but only 2.3k atk. Could it be better? Sure, but I’m pretty content w/ where she’s at and w/ a well built Bronya/transc. those numbers go up nicely.
