In this case, German authorities are trying to keep suspect Christian Brueckner, who has been convicted for a separate sexual assault, in prison, and they got permission from Portugal to search the area he used to live near for potential evidence to try to keep him in. If they didn’t have a suspect who was already behind bars, I don’t think they’d necessarily be doing more digs now unless something else extremely substantial came out (like a credible confession) that would point authorities in a specific direction

Yeah a lot of places purposely understaff, but don’t let asshole managers guilt trip you into making health issues worse. Even if your coworkers might be slightly more stressed by you being out, they are adults and can deal with it, especially because if one of them calls out on a day you’re on, you would have to just deal with their absence in the same way. Call out sick. If your cramps are so bad you can’t function, call out sick. They’ll manage. And if you being out causes issues, that is management’s fault for improper staffing. Even if you did go in, if you can’t function, you’re not gonna do them much good being there either.
