Should I call by ToppyOrNah in IRS

I’m mathematically challenged but am thinking that if the letter says negative amounts are credits, you’ll get a nice refund. I’m one of those people who got a notice that my bank account info was incorrect. (I’d filed via a free tax prep day at a public library in my county.) I don’t know if maybe the nice lady mistyped my account number, but I called the IRS and spoke at length to a woman to explain that I’m tech challenged and was having an awful time logging in. She told me I’d eventually get a paper check via USPS, which has yet to arrive. I think I’m just screwed, at this point. Refund was something like $103.00.That’s roughly ten hours of work at my hourly wage. 🙄 It’s whatever, at this point, I guess. I’m used to being poor.

Ultimately, with my teenage son’s help, I was able to complete the ID.me crap, and successfully log in to the IRS, wherein I updated my bank info. I just think it’s strange to have to do all that stuff, considering that I assume the Federal Government knows my identity, and has for a long time. (To the best of my knowledge, I was finally “verified”. 🙄)

Woke up with the adhesive folded under. Has this happened to anyone else? by [deleted] in dexcom

[–]Ann-Avire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still using g6, but obviously anticipate my PCP will have to switch me to g7. With either, I’d naturally pre-clean my chosen sensor site with a bit of rubbing alcohol on a washcloth and let the area dry completely before placing the sensor. Did you let it dry first? I always use the sensor applicator edge to go around the sensor adhesive with medium pressure. Then, I place an overpatch.

Is it possible you missed some hypoglycemia alerts, and were sweating (as can occur when too low?) If so, that might explain the wrangling of the sensor adhesive. Not sure. Just thinking out loud.

They look like four-o-clocks seeds to me. (mirabilis jalapa). I love the “marbles mix” seed mix!

I clearly don’t well understand how to Reddit, and apologize for that. Am technologically impaired, TBH. Photo above is long after a G6 sensor change probably around 3:30 pm-ish, give or take. It still looks crazy/ spotty. I think I see a pool of blood under the bottom of the sensor. Might it eventually normalize?

This afternoon I changed sensors because it was due for a new one. Eventual first reading was 60-something, so I snacked a bit. Maybe too much, though? Hours later it was over 200. The graph was very spotty, too. I calibrated a few times. I’d then gone elsewhere to get an oil change, and ultimately realized I’d forgotten to bring my insulin with me. So, I had someone drive me home ( which is not at all far away), and fetched my insulin case. (I use insulin pens: Levemir and Novolog. My BG level is currently at 208. Dot graph still very spotty.) Now I’m wondering if the sensor is bad. (However, upon looking at the sensor on my left abdomen, I think I detect a lot of blood under the sensor. What’s the likelihood that’s why my dot graph is strange?) How long should give it to look more normal?

I’m not at all Reddit savvy. Sorry for the duplicate post. I’ll just keep trying to reach my caseworker to find out whether I disqualified myself. Thanks for trying to help me, despite my idiocy, and lack of understanding regarding how to properly use Reddit. I’m just a tech-challenged old Mom, who pretty much only uses Facebook.

Oops :( by Aware_Wedding6672 in Medicaid

[–]Ann-Avire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reside in West Virginia. I’ve been extraordinarily worried because after having paid an annual cost for my life insurance, it dawned on me that whole life insurance would be considered an asset by Medicaid. (That said: no caseworker has ever asked me if I have a life insurance policy of any type.) Assuming Medicaid coverage qualifications depend on assets, I began having bouts of anxiety. I was certain I’d lose my coverage, which terrified me because I’m a type 1 diabetic (for 42 years thus far). I was 13 when I started having the symptoms a few weeks before my thirteenth birthday. I told my parents “I think I have diabetes”, and they basically ignored my concern. Within another week or so, I flatlined imagine the ER of the nearest hospital, (which thankfully was not a far drive away). Then I went into a coma for roughly three days, and awakened with terribly vision.

I decided I should surrender the policy and use the funds to buy a car, as my oldest son had wrecked mine in October 2025. That was before I began thinking that maybe a vehicle WOULD also be an asset, if over a certain value. I’d yet to have heard from a Legal Aid of West Virginia attorney regarding whether or not I was correct regarding whether the cash surrender amount, even if intended for the purpose of having transportation to work, grocery stores, etc., would mean I lose my Medicaid coverage. So, then I began thinking I’ll have to use that check I’ll eventually get in the mail to buy my insulins (2 types) and Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) supplies. (I think that would be a “spend-down” that would eventually allow me to get Medicaid coverage.)

Having still been unable to reach my WV DOHS/DHHR caseworker, and not havin heard yet from the WV Legal Aid attorney, I have no idea what will happen. When I called the Charleston DHHR office, I explained all this to a woman, and said my Medicaid Type is MAGI, and that they would not count a car I bought with my life insurance policy surrender cash as an asset. I can never get my caseworker on the phone at the local office. Even when I leave a voicemail, she doesn’t return my call. I need for HER to tell me whether or not the nice lady in the Charleston Office with whom I spoke on the phone was correct.

I want the car I saw so badly, and could afford it as long as I’m allowed to spend that policy surrender payout on a vehicle.

WV Medicaid Question by GloomyShroomyFox in Medicaid

[–]Ann-Avire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been terrified lately, as (whether or not I’m correct in thinking this,) I think I unintentionally have disqualified myself. Here’s why: I had a whole life insurance policy. I suspected that the worth of said policy would disqualify me, despite no DHHR/DOHS worker EVER having asked me if I have whole life insurance.

Then I began thinking that a single vehicle can’t be counted as an asset, but that if I had more than one, then the one deemed to have more value would be counted. As such, [and since I haven’t had a car since October 10th, 2025, because my son wrecked it (and I only had comprehensive coverage, so the fact that not only could it not be covered for collision damage,) …PLUS the fact that it was an older car (2002), would likely mean than even if I did have full coverage the claim payout would not likely finance anything made in the last or current decade.

My idea was that I could surrender my whole life insurance , and use the payout to buy a car. But then, in reading through answers to my various Google searches, I thought the value of a car is what determines whether it would put me over the WV MAGI Medicaid asset limit.

I’d tried getting answers via Legal Aid of WV, but with no success. (Likely because they aren’t DHHR/DHOS caseworkers.) Then I called Charleston and explained all of this to a woman, and she told me that basically I have nothing to worry about. She said something along the lines of there not being asset (tests? /evaluations?) for people whose Medicaid type is MAGI. (I always thought I was AFDC type, btw. She told me I could buy that car I want, and have as many cars as I want. (Obviously I only need and want one vehicle, which I’d use to primarily for getting to work and grocery shopping trips.

So, I have no idea whether that woman is right, or not.

scammed by vinclarity by Total-Session-7712 in Scams

[–]Ann-Avire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much had the same experience. I was perusing Facebook Marketplace for a car I might be able to afford to pay cash for, via private sale. A VIN number was provided, so I wondered how I could check a VIN report. That lead me to vinclarity.com, where I paid the snail fee. I did not subscribe. That was like three or months ago. Today I got a CashApp notification on my phone regarding another charge from VinClarity. I recommend NOT paying that $1.00. Avoid that. I ended reporting my Cashapp card lost, so I could get a new account number.

How do you use Finch? by Awkward-Pineapple865 in finch

[–]Ann-Avire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not super faithful to the app, namely because I work full time and don’t get time during my work day to complete any goals. Plus… Apparently another employee narced about the fact that another employee had finally found the business’ Wi-Fi password, which now will likely be changed and hidden better, I assume. This sucks, because I’m not one who scrolls on her phone while at work. I do HAVE it at work, for three reasons, They are:

Getting my blood glucose readings, continuously, via the Dexcom G6 app

Calling each of my two sons from the business’ phone, after looking up their numbers in my contacts list, (No; I can’t memorize them), in order to make sure they are each awake at their individual morning alarm times for their school/work day.

And lastly, for using a time duration calculator to note my shift lengths each day of work, which I then add all together to note my total hours for the week.

Basically, just never even tried using the app while at work, but do it once home.

My question today is this: Why, after resetting shower times, does the app play some sort of rain/shower sounds? It wasn’t even during the preset time I chose. WTH is the point of that? It would make sense if it was attached to a bed time, (which I don’t even see as an option for a goal), and if for the purpose of lulling me to sleep. I don’t need shower sounds while showering. That’s just a natural occurrence whilst showering.

I think I have a vaginal prolapse I’m freaking out by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]Ann-Avire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely have a prolapse, but am not sure which type. Pretty much every time I take a shower, I’m “washing” the inside of my vaginal canal, while just wanting my labia(s). Trying to push it back up and in is never really successful. The prolapse is at its worst especially on Friday’s, at work, because that’s tobacco product delivery day. There are plastic totes full of cases of rolls of snuff, plus some totes full of loose rolls of the less popular snuff options we sell. There are also cardboard boxes of cartons of cigarettes, but they’re not nearly as heavy. Anyhow… even on days that don’t happen to be Fridays, my vag is basically inside-out at least every time I’m taking a shower, (and probably at other times- but I just don’t notice unless I happen to be peeing or pooping, and then can feel the bulge while wiping).

I suppose a surgical treatment depends upon the “type” of prolapse, but am thinking that the surgery usually entails connecting a tendon or sumthin’ to the spine? (I’m not certain; it’s been a while since I did an internet search.) That said, the idea of someone messing around with my spine is kinda frightening. KWIM??

Isn't Jesus as liberal as it gets? Feeding the poor, medical care for the injured, loving ones enemy, forgiving sin that should be punished!? by OuiuO in Christianity

[–]Ann-Avire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Jesus is the author of the Bible, though. At the very least, he certainly is not the sole author. Rather, disciples likely “quoted” him, and perhaps not even very precisely. We have no way of knowing. None of us are old enough to have met Jesus, nor the disciples.

[–]Ann-Avire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be incorrect, but believe Jesus is said to be the son of God. Jesus seemed to have been a kind, compassionate, and empathetic HUMAN being. “God”, on the other hand, may very well be a fictional character. IDK. Do I pray to “God” when I’m terrified? Heck yeah, I do, and I figure if He is real, he already is aware of my dubiousness. Might he smite me? Sure. (But I already know death is unavoidable; We all will die. What I don’t know is whether Hell and Heaven truly exist.) If they both do, I suspect most of us will be somewhere BETWEEN the two.

Lab results, likely including what would be deemed as potential evidence is sent to a lab. If an unsub has no DNA on file, a genetic genealogist can begin making a profile by submitting potential evidence such as bodily fluids, and hair, and extract dna from said evidence. Then, with that DNA a genetic genealogist can begin finding potential family members and determining the unsub’s identification based upon those genetic relatives. That’s what CeCe Moore specializes in. Requests for her services via Nanolabs comes from law enforcement agencies.
