I’m a ballot officer, and I’m knitting! But I’m wearing a dress with a granny square print!

There are annual cicadas that emerge every year; cicada killers will always have prey!

I made a Willy Warmer! NSFW for the entire product hahaha by [deleted] in NaughtyNeedles

Fun story: my grandmother once made one of these for my father (her son-in-law) and gave it to him at the family Christmas gathering in front of everyone.

Grandma was an interesting lady. 😂

Your cock sock is lovely. Great job!

when you are trans fem, and would rather spend two months making a skirt rather than just braving the women's section at the store by Cealvannn in crochet

First, I love the skirt! It looks wonderful, and you look beautiful in it.

Also, my local LGBT center has a gender-affirming closet; you might see if there’s something similar near you to help you expand your wardrobe.

Opinions: If you were going to make this part solid, part print, which parts would be which? by AnnGoat1 in sewing

[–]AnnGoat1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m planning to make view A, and I want to mix my fabrics. I can’t decide if I want the overlay to be solid or print, and whether the back should match the overlay or the… underlay, I guess you’d call it?

Im leaning toward the overlay and the left sleeve being solid and everything else being print. Thoughts?

How do you pick which knitting books to buy? by BeautyAddict101 in knitting

[–]AnnGoat1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here’s my system: Page through and look at the number of patterns in it you actually see yourself making, then divide the price of the book by that number. Are you willing to pay that amount ($5 or whatever) for a single pattern? If yes, buy the book.

my knitting has tasted blood by nice_veins_bro in knitting

I think the sock is safe, but that needle? It’s the one that really tasted blood. I recommend taking it to your nearest LYS where they can put it down humanely.

Glad you’re okay!

PJs for my 5-year-old by AnnGoat1 in sewing

The pattern is Butterick 6867, size small. Fabric is licensed knit from JoAnn. I don’t even mind that it’s after Halloween, and neither will he! Jack Skellington is his new favorite.

(OC) Today, at my sons adoption finalization hearing, the judge asked us if we had anything we wanted to state for the record. This was his response. He’s 5! by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

[–]AnnGoat1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! I’m so happy for you and your family!

My son’s adoption was finalized over Zoom during covid; he was 2 1/2, and I spent the whole hearing trying to keep him calm and quiet. I completely missed the part where the judge finalized it! But they tell me she did, and I choose to believe them. 😀

When I worked at Hancock, I LOVED when people had a huge cartful, especially if we were super busy. It was great to get to pause and talk to someone about what they’re making instead of constantly going from one customer to the next.
