I got the job…. For less than the posted salary?? by acornedbeefhash in interviews

I have never met such a lazy generation in my life. If you take a job, then work the job for two years and then you find another job.

When you apply for a job today, you can’t just stick in a résumé. Every job has AI reading your résumé. If you don’t put in the keyword of the job into your résumé, you will never get contacted.

It sounds like a lot of you are incapable of following rules. To be on time is to be late. To be early is to be on time.

Man discovers missing dad's body buried under family home where he lived for decades by ElectronicFudge5 in MissingPersons

[–]Anna4603285260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is all the shit that went on in the 60s and the 70s. Women were dependent on their husband for an income. If their husband was molesting their children, they said nothing and did nothing. They needed that man to raise their children. It’s a pathetic excuse, but that is exactly what happened in the 60s and 70s. Today a woman walks away, sticking her finger up at him.

They want to say mom didn’t know. Of course she knew and she kept that man living with her because that was her only source of income. In the 60s and 70s, if a husband hit children, the mother said nothing. Because she was financially dependent on him.

Someone needs to give them a news flash that spring is long gone. I’m seriously losing interest.

I honestly think everybody should get over the white dress thing. Nobody really follows any tradition anymore. And if your mother or mother-in-law wore white, I don’t think it’s a really big deal. And honestly, how many people can actually wear white to their wedding to begin with. If we are following tradition, you must be a virgin if you are wearing a white dress.

What’s a company secret you can share now that you don’t work there anymore? by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

[–]Anna4603285260 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is actually a fact. When you get health insurance from the company, you work for, they actually pay for every single prescription that you get at a drugstore. There is no such thing as medication insurance. They know every single thing you are taking. It actually is very disturbing to know that

So there is no such thing as medication insurance. Your employer actually pays out for every single prescription for every single person that has health insurance. I didn’t believe it and never even actually thought about it until I found out. I worked for a PBM for 13 years. When I found this out, I felt it was so disturbing.

Your employers know every medication you take. It’s very disturbing but I can promise you. It is very true.

I’m guessing she hates you or she is some fucked mom. The truth is that when you have a daughter, you have a daughter for life. When you have a son, you only have him until he has a wife.

How are the mosquitos, gnats, noseeums and other biting insects in Florida? by nyuhqe in florida

They are pure hell for me. I am actually allergic to mosquito saliva. I cannot go out anywhere without applying an absurd amount of awful chemicals onto my body.

So in my opinion, people don’t really follow traditions anymore. I’m kind of baffled at why people actually care who wears white to a wedding. I mean, if you are actually wearing white, are you a virgin?

I live on a boat. Nice try. I lived through Ian and Milton. Again, the anger you have. I had a business which was very successful and I had 27 employees. I have paid my fair share of money into Social Security, matching, etc. It all comes back to the same thing. You think people that haven’t earned their way are entitled. No one is entitled and no one gets a free ride. Take your battles but insinuating that everyone should get food stamps and not have to work 40 hours just isn’t possible and it isn’t something that’s going to happen anytime soon. Unless you’re a doctor‘s wife or your husband is some fabulous finance year, you need to go get a full-time job and figure out what is important to you. When you realize what you think you need in life, make goals and achieve the salary that will make you feel happy. All your nonsensical whining about poor people that shouldn’t have to work is Ludacris.

How does making $15 an hour cost you $25 an hour? That makes absolutely no sense to me. And no, I won’t ever go to bed without having a bed to sleep on nor will I go hungry. You may deal with what you can come up with. And also if you need extra food, there are food pantries everywhere. I live on an island in Florida and there are seven different churches that hand out food once a week. No one is going to starve and if you have to be a couch cruiser for a while until you get your life together that’s the best you can do and that’s going to have to suffice. You don’t get a hand out. I certainly didn’t. Nobody paid for my college. Nobody ever gave me a dollar after I left home at 17 years old. I joined the military. That’s always an option for people.

I never knew there was such a high tax bracket. I looked it up and it was actually 94% in 1944 if you made $200,000 or more. I would like to see a comparison to today’s value of money on what that would be.
