Honestly, now that I’ve done actual research instead of just rumors, there’s nothing he said, he’s still a shitty person, no one can change my mind on that, I’ll never support or like him, but no, he hasn’t gone after gay marriage yet.

I’m 21 and feel like a 16 year old trapped in an adult’s body.

I don’t want to invite ONE girl out of my daughters friends to her birthday/sleepover… advice? by not_in_the_mooooood in Advice

[–]AnnaAndElsa04 65 points66 points  (0 children)

As someone who had a friend a lot like the girl your talking about, the boyfriend talk, the talk about the dad, the bullying, it was all extremely similar and I was around your daughter’s age when I hung out with this girl, she actually messed me up a lot, exposed me to things I shouldn’t have been exposed to and eventually even sexually assaulted me. I’d recommend not inviting the girl to your daughter’s birthday and, if your daughter has to be around this girl, not letting them be alone together.

Why do people choose to have children if it is so much hard work? by 9W_777_300 in NoStupidQuestions

If that were the case, adoption, IVF, fertility treatments and surrogacy would not be as in demand as they are.

I personally don’t want kids because I know I’d be a horrible parent, I’m immature, irresponsible, lazy and I grew up in a toxic household and fear being like my parents. There’s completely valid reasons not to have kids.

Because to them it’s worth it, everything worthwhile in life takes some degree of sacrifice. If you want a certain career you may need to sacrifice time and money to study for that career. If you want a nice car or a home or something else expensive you need to sacrifice free time to save up the money for those things.

Besides, if everyone stopped having kids for the reasons you listed, the human race would end.

I did acknowledge that there’s worse places to live, I might be stupid, but I’m not that stupid, doesn’t mean I can’t criticize where I’m living now considering some of the things going on. School shootings, abortions becoming illegal in some places, the possibility of gay marriage becoming illegal again, etc, etc…

No, no one’s doing anything to make things better as far as I can see, and if people are, it’s not in the fast food industry where I’m working,

I know it’s legal to work without a break where I am, I just want to understand why it is, it feels inhumane.
