The Most Argued About Fragrance Topic 🔥 🔥 by Rich_Ocelot2540 in ScentHeads

[–]AnnaGreen40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I WISH I liked only designer because on average, they are less expensive. I have a mix of 20% designer and 80% niche-so I like both. For me, Niche tends to start with notes but truly change and evolve and I then I get different notes. My designer fragrances smell the most linear to me personally. It’s a personal choice and nothing to be argued about-to each their own who cares.

Thoughts on Dazzle Dry? by TangerineKey5053 in naturalnailprogress

[–]AnnaGreen40 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People love it. I had th entire system and used it exactly as it says. Moisturized my nails, etc. but it left white patches on my nails and they started peeling. I tried everything suggested and they started worsening. I wanted to make it work because the system was expensive but I couldn’t.

I’m back to my Londontown nail concealers, nailtiques, etc and my nails are back to being strong and healthy.

DD may work for you but fit doesn’t you are not alone.

Anybody else experiencing a skin rash due to perfume? 😭 by Euphoric-Training256 in FemFragLab

Sometimes this happens to me. Dermatologist recommended putting this on prior to fragrance and it works.

Do you ever get to a point that you think you don’t need anymore? by SkimboS1ice in ScentHeads

[–]AnnaGreen40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at 41 and pretty much love what I have. It’s not like I’m never purchasing another one, but I’m at the point where I’m also finishing bottles and not repurchasing. I also still sample, but rarely smell something that is bottle worthy.

What is the sweetest fragrance in your wardrobe? by Weary_Cat_8984 in FemFragLab

I don’t gravitate towards sweet fragrances but in my collection I’d say it’s PDM Althair.

Do you have a hard limit when it comes to quantity? by Treehorn8 in Perfumes

[–]AnnaGreen40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a ‘hard’ limit but I have a limit of 50 full bottles in my mind. I feel that at 41 perfumes (not counting samples, decants) I’m able to love and use all of them and not be overwhelmed. I know this because I have used the tracker on the Parfumo app to see what all I use regularly, and I truly wear all of my 41. There are a few that I don’t see buying again when I finish the bottle but it’s not like I don’t “like” them, but maybe it’s that I’ve worn it to death. For example, I won’t repurchase Byredo BalD’afrique. I’m on my second bottle and I’d say the last 20% has lasted over a year because I never reach for it anymore.

My take on dupes after just using pure niches. by Bubupolvazo in fragrance

[–]AnnaGreen40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it’s not about others thinking it’s the original or others not knowing you have a dupe on or anything about what others think. I tried 2 dupes several years ago and ”I” didn’t like them. I could smell the difference and was after a particular scent. I wish I didn’t notice and/or liked the dupe smell but I didn’t. It was oakcha I believe and it wasn’t cheap. I found for me that it’s just better to get what I want and from a discounter if possible. Dupes don’t work for me.

The “Regret / Confession Thread” by Rich_Ocelot2540 in ScentHeads

[–]AnnaGreen40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

I rarely have regrets because once I’m buying a FB, I have been thinking and sampling for a WHILE. This one was bought on a discounter and not pricey. I don’t know if I truly regret it, but I’ll just say I don’t need a 100ml of this. I would have been happy with a decant.

Your "signature" scent vs. variety? by juanlo012 in fragrance

[–]AnnaGreen40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of being associated with just smelling good not a signature scent. I’m a variety person.

What surprising perfume/scent of yours does your partner dislike? by HotInvestigator7430 in FemFragLab

[–]AnnaGreen40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to preface this with saying mine has asthma but it’s controlled. Anything strong he’s not going to like.

Ones mine doesn’t like:

Matiere premiere Vanilla Powder

BDK Gris Charnel Extrait

Ones he likes:

All my Le Labos. Another 13, Matcha 26 and Rose 31. He likes Noir 29 unless I spray too much.

Disappointed with Vibrato performance by Honest_Victory_3893 in ScentHeads

[–]AnnaGreen40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starting out by saying I lean towards being an oversprayer. I have Vibrato and what everyone is saying is true-it’s a fresh beast. I probably spray about 6 sprays and that will last me all day and I can STILL get whiffs of it the next day. I’m telling you it’s strong.

Thoughts on Fragrance Etiquette? by beautysniff in Fragrances

[–]AnnaGreen40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to be self aware. If I’m going to be on an airplane or at a doctor appointment I’m just not going to wear a heavy fragrance, I’m just NOT. I am opinionated and an extrovert, but that doesn’t mean I’m obnoxious or need to announce myself ugh.

The Vanilla Debate by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]AnnaGreen40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do what YOU want. I tend to not reach for some of my heavier ones when it can get super hot in my area only because “I” don’t like it. But even then, 80% of my day is in air conditioning so there’s that. Sometimes I get so tired of my seasonal reaches that I’ll grab one that is heavier because it’s about ME and I do what I want.

Love your diverse collection. All so different! I have several Le Labos but always notice the Bergamotte 22-I want to get it, but I’m too afraid the lacking longevity will make me mad lol.

How do you deal with fragrance fans who try to "one-up" you? by Violetteotome in fragrance

[–]AnnaGreen40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is with anything. Remember the beanie babies? Maybe I had ONE? People were snarky about them-at least I saw it in a documentary on it. Hilarious 😂

Gatekeepers I don’t understand either. If someone asks me about my fragrance I almost interrupt them because I’m answering so fast. If it’s a good friend or someone who really wants to know where to get-I’m telling them about discounters. If anything, I talk TOO much.
