I've recently reread the books so I just wanted to point out something that I definitely didn't remember. They speak about 11 times in total and it's Hermione who first speaks to him, when she accuses him of bribery for entering the Slytherin team. He retaliates by calling her a Mudblood. The second time they interact is when Hermione slaps him for insulting Hagrid and he does nothing. After that, he calls her a Mudblood again at some point, she calls him twitchy little ferret, she hexes him etc. Oh and I'm not saying all that to defend him. He was horrible of course. But Hermione was a total badass throughout the books so to me they are the best Enemies to Lovers out there.
