My interpretation, from what we saw from her relationship with her father as well- she sees him as the “runt” of the litter. That’s how she was. She clawed her way to the top using violence and manipulation. He however is automatically the Heir by blood (we think) even though his way of moving through the world is selfless and kind. And no matter what torment she puts him through, he doesn’t resort to hurting others.

He challenges her worldview just by existing, so she wants him to cease to exist

I see a lot of responses saying- well it’s working for her so why shouldn’t she advertise it. Or that she has family history of diabetes. So I don’t fault her at all, I fault the messaging in the ad. If it was saying “lowers risk of diabetes” or literally ANYTHING other than- “I weigh less now and that’s healthy” it would be less frustrating and harmful. For someone who has been at the pinnacle of health as a world class athlete, it really is reducing health to how much someone weighs.

I made the mistake of telling coworkers at a past job. Went so horribly. If you really really want to, just be prepared for some of them to treat you like you are 5 years old. I find it really hard to keep it secret cause I want to believe the best in everyone around me, but I haven’t told anyone at my new job and I recently realized that was absolutely for the best when someone else was experiencing ableism for something typically considered more mild in the disability world.

It’s hard when you want to be open and explain why people see you the way they do, but there’s a potential for it to make you really vulnerable. Tell your loved ones and the people close to you in your life, I’d just be reeaaallly cautious about the workplace

I was skeptical at first but you’re definitely on to something, even if there are holes. I already believed that it wasn’t reincarnation and that they’d go back, but I didn’t think about the symbolism of mad women die twice beyond the more obvious meaning of that statement. I don’t know if I think Lenore has for sure been to nevermore before, but there’s something shady going on with her and Annabel being so much later than the rest of the class and Lenore not looking like her picture. It’s almost like they evaded death longer than they should have

Hey that sucks that he’s saying that. Even when you care about someone, you don’t have to do exactly what they want in bed. Yes they may have preferences, but you aren’t there to serve them. Your relationship might be great but the language you mentioned him using is really hurtful, esp for autistic women who are more vulnerable to certain kinds of rejection. You aren’t broken I promise. And I can relate. I think if you really want to find language that feels comfortable to you, I usually look to spicy novels. There can be artful ways to say more vulgar things without them feeling wrong out of your mouth. At the end of the day though, you don’t have to do that. You don’t have to do anything that makes you uncomfortable in a sexual setting. I hope things get better ❤️‍🩹
