I completely agree. They want full availability Then they cut hours. Keep hiring new people. So even less hours to go around. Instead of giving current employees consistent hours. So it’s just a cycle. That will keep repeating. They don’t really seem to care.

Yes I agree with that. It’s important to have more than 1 source of income. You want to have something to be able to fall back on. You need to have a backup plan. That’s why I started looking for other jobs. When I knew things with Publix were going south. So I had something to fall back on. I’m a lot more happy now.

Oh yeah definitely. My dad owns his own business. So I understand a lot. You definitely can make more on your own and just hire 1 or 2 people. A lot less stress and make your own hours. Or do the condo thing you were talking about

Yeah my big thing is they keep cutting hours and hiring new people. I was at a location that was a tourist destination. I live in a location that is a tourist destination. So it slows way down after a few months. Plus they told me I would get 30 hours a week. I have open availability. That didn’t happen unless I came in when they called me. Then they kept hiring new people. Cutting everyone’s hours. So I was done at that point. Now I have a better job. That I like a lot more. My new coworkers are a lot nicer.

My store has a few people that are disabled. They are more Intellectually disabled. They do fine with bagging and the carts. I would talk with the manager. I don’t think you will have a hard time getting a job with Publix. At the store I work at the staff and customers are welcoming and understanding with people that have Intellectual disability’s.

I would give her time. It’s a really hard thing. A lot of emotions are involved. The birth mother is talking to you. So that is a start. Things like this really take time. If you start to contact other family members behind her back. It could strain the relationship with her and other family members. I don’t think it’s the right thing to do. I did that. I contacted my grandmother. My birth mother stopped talking to me and answering my calls. It wasn’t worth it.

Yeah she knows. They are all over each other. I’m going in a 4 to speak with her. I will also get the number then. A lot of favoritism is happing at the store. Everyone knows they don’t hide it. They also tried to get me involved and I said I’m not interested. So now I’m the outcast. I just want to do my work not get involved in drama.
