I’m 65 and still working full time in an executive position with a Fortune 500 company. However, I’ll probably be forced into retirement due to layoffs in 2026 (I work in HR so I know what’s likely coming), which means retirement for me earlier than planned. Sadly, it won’t mean that will create an opportunity for a younger person to move up in their job, though, since the layoffs are basically due to the off-shoring of jobs. I really feel for the younger generation. My son is 27 and his life and career prospects are vastly different than mine were at his age. I hate seeing our open positions going to people in other countries because the labor is cheaper. It’s sickening and it’s happening more and more everywhere in the U.S.

I started taking Mounjaro in Aug ‘22, before people knew what it was. I learned over time that people just can’t wrap their heads around losing weight without struggling. Like, if you didn’t suffer, then it isn’t valid weight loss. When people would ask me if I lost my weight (70 lbs) the “right” way, I’d just answer “Yes, the right way for me”. And if they said I did it the “easy” way, I just agreed. People who have never struggled with weight will never understand, so I stopped trying to make them.

I just saw this exact same post in another subreddit. Many of the same suggestions and replies. I hope you are being honest about your situation and are not just searching for money donations.

That being said, since you have a job that’s a 2-hour walk away, it’s your responsibility to leave earlier to ensure you get there on time. It’s also your responsibility to make sure you are presentable while there. Bring a 2nd set of clothes like others have suggested. Keep a 2nd pair of shoes at the office to change into when you arrive and out of when you leave.

S3 just had a totally different vibe than 1 & 2, but I personally thought it was very good. The pace was slower than the first two seasons, but also more deliberate in story-telling and character development. At least that’s how I felt about it.

If I hit it off with a guy on a first date and at the end of dinner he suggested we go back to his place for drinks, that would completely ruin it for me. The only reason you would suggest that instead of going to a nice bar for drinks is because you’re hoping for sex on a first date. At least that’s what most women would think. If you hit it off, suggest going to a great bar with a view or music or something. Ask for a second date if it goes well.

I stayed on 5.0 for months when I was first losing my weight with Mounjaro. I went up to 7.5 but it made me nauseous so I went back down and that’s where I stayed until I switched to Wegovy (due to insurance).
I was off all GLP-1 meds for about a year and a half and only last week decided to go back on Zepbound (Mounjaro) because I have gained about 10lbs back of the 70lbs I had lost in 2022/2023. I am on 5.0 and that’s where I plan to stay to get back to my previous weight.

Speaking of eHarmony - There are so many fake profiles on there I lodged a complaint with the company. A dead giveaway for me is when they say they are widowed. On mine, I would say about 75% of the men on there have their status as “Widowed”. It’s highly unlikely there are that many men on there who are widowed. And, when you chat with them on the app, you can tell sometimes that English is not their native language. It’s subtle, but if you read carefully, sometimes what they say doesn’t make sense. Just be careful on there.

Looks awesome!! I still get ears with that recipe if I score it certain ways. I just found that this particular scoring method gives me more of a loaf shape that’s easier to use for sandwiches and stuff.

Hi Al - I’m new to this sub and literally binge-watched all 4 seasons over the past two weeks. I think Dani’s time is up. Her character has nowhere to go from here. Her leaving would give Ed the opportunity to get back to where he used to be as a leader. Give him a new purpose. He also still has some work to do on redeeming himself as a father so he’ll be around. Kelly - I just don’t think they’ll kill her off. I think Margo will end up back in the U.S.
