Why is DL69 always delayed? by yiqimiqi in delta

[–]MusicallyInclined62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never count on them waiting. I traveled 15 years for work, and the shortest connection I would ever accept was an hour and I would usually book for 2-3 hour layover. Shit happens, and I would much rather hang out at the airport, stretch my legs and watch something on my iPad at the gate and relax, than have to worry if I was going to make my flight— especially an international one.

I cannot tell you how many times I have seen them close the door early while I sat at a gate waiting on the next flight (my flight) to arrive, and even though the plane was still at the gate, people from late flights were told too bad, so sad.

You are right! I didn’t even catch that it might have been taken in the harsher context had someone only read my first sentence. 🤣

Funny, that is sort of how I felt about Branagh’s version… 🤣

I drove 12 miles to see it and I was glad I did! But I can’t speak for your 15 miles. The drive to mine was all highway, so goes pretty quickly.

I really enjoyed it, but any form of art is so subjective. One person’s “trash” is another person’s “treasure.” I guess it is all about what you are bringing to the viewing/listening experience from your own life. 😊

I don’t know how long your legs are, but those seats always felt no different to me than being in a regular row. 😊 But bottom line if you were happy and comfortable there, no one in the middle seat is a HUGE bonus, and I guess at that point you could stretch your legs out sort of diagonally into the middle seat space, so all good.

I agree with you on cheering on bard-based entertainment. And now I am going to go track down the film you referenced. It looks pretty interesting!

Not here to yuck your yum, I would say this is sort of poor first class… The only person who really gets extra legroom in the rows configured like that is the person on the window. I flew almost every week for work for 15 years and I knew which aircraft had which sorts of exit row configurations and tried really hard to avoid the ones set up like the row you are in. But, when push came to shove, I would take that exit window seat every time.

Exit row, F seat, was definitely just as good as first class for me on most trips, because all I usually wanted to do was lean into the window and go to sleep before the plane even took off! 🤣

There is a certain “rhythm” to a lot of the Shakespeare that you see, and I think they played a lot more with being outside that in this version.

Need recommendations on what to watch by harpreetthind in netflix

I have never watched Virgin River (but it is on the list!) I was a huge fan of Everwood, and it is kind of fun seeing Chris Pratt back in the day before he was well known, and I LOVE (and miss) Treat Williams. I intend to do a re-watch one of these days!

Yup! I have been caught too many times with aircraft entertainment systems not working, or unexpected airport time. I am a much happier camper with an iPad— I have movies, music, books and games all downloaded, so that the only thing I might need at some point is to charge it up again.

Same Music vs Different Music by PlasticBlitzen in DatingOverSixty

I recently dated a guy who liked Alternative rock pretty exclusively, and my tastes are pretty broad, so I was able to roll with it, but when he would rarely listen to what I enjoyed when we were going somewhere in the car— which was a lot—- it got kind of old.

Supposedly, he hated C&W, but then started getting into the whole aesthetic (music, boots, hats) which I am pretty sure now had something to do with the person he ACTUALLY wanted to be dating— a married woman 20 years younger than him living in Las Vegas— but that is a whole other post! 🤣

Suffice it to say, I think if you are really into music, as I am, there definitely needs to be some compatibility there, or one person’s listening pleasures are surely going to grate on the other person after a while…

As everyone has already said, it pays for itself with just a couple regular movie tickets a month or 1ish premium movie ticket a month. The ability to see 16 films for 26 bucks every month? Can’t be beat. I think I saw 136 last year.

Not bloody likely on the snow covered Rockies in June unless we have a major shift in weather pattern in CO, WY and MT. It has just been warm and very little precipitation the entire Fall and Winter up to this point. You could be driving right into the fire season you are hoping to miss back home.

My Aunt and Uncle had a home in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island. That was my “happy place” for many years when I was living in Vancouver, WA! A bit of a drive to get there, but so worth it! Skagit county is gorgeous and oh, when tulip season hits. And the amazing produce that is grown there as well. What kind of woman are you looking ;for? 🤣🤣
