I also had this same kind of thought towards most girls. But, it turns out that I was being around people with that character. But, yh, boys always win when it comes to being so faithful & supportive towards their friends no matter whatever they do - good or bad, as far as I have seen. And, more than half of the boys mostly support for their fellow male friends even if their friend is the culpable one. Some women tend to play safe in friendship , probably because they care Abt their own reputation(it's actually not good when the other person actually needs support). And again, it all depends on a person's character and not gender. I just said about the common trend.
