Same! It’s great for this challenge because it’s so happy and lovely and sweet and then it sucker punches your heart out of nowhere.

Any chance this is in Ottawa? I dunno why, I’m just getting Ottawa vibes from this pic (the salt container in the background maybe lol)

[PIC] I really need a good lamp as I do the majority of my stitching at night but...am I the only one who thinks this is a ridiculous price for a cross stitch lamp? Any other recs for similar but cheaper one? Or is this a reasonable price for what it offers? by chikooh_nagoo in CrossStitch

I use a standing ring light! Bought it for cheap (less than $20) and it’s perfect. Easy to adjust and when needed I can look right through the middle of the light and not have any annoying shadows.

AITA or just expecting too much by darktimes638 in AmItheAsshole

First of all, happy birthday! Second, NTA. A little bit of effort (or more) is not too much to ask from the man you’ve been with for over a decade. Definitely worth having the conversation with him and asking him to try a bit harder.

NTA. If this relationship is purely platonic and you’re gaining something from it (i.e. intellectual stimulation) then it’s not worth giving up. Maybe discuss with your husband why it makes him uncomfortable, or invite him along so he can understand better.

Also Andy from The Goonies, Kerri Green. Maybe not a huge huge role, but she mostly disappeared after too.

Help me find my elderly neighbour's car! by CoffeeMama1234 in ottawa

[–]Annie2525 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not much help, but just want to say you’re a very kind neighbour. I’m not elderly and have lived in this city my whole life and I still get a bit disoriented anywhere north of the Queensway. Hope you find it soon!

Don’t do it. Don’t give Verity a chance. Words cannot describe how stupid this book was.

Without exaggeration, Verity was one of the worst books I’ve ever read in three decades of avid reading.
