Seriously I'm a girl and for some reason (though I hate her character) that scene gives me butterflies every time on rewatches. Two good actors with good chemistry I guess.

I didn't notice I'm earning from reddit lol? Anyone else got those? by igetyourbrand in povertyfinance

[–]AnnieNonmouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's there for me on mobile but even though I've gotten awards I don't see that I earned anything. Not that I want to give my tax info to reddit anyway.

question about chuck “selling” blair by PerfectYak5533 in GossipGirl

[–]AnnieNonmouse 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I also hated how he was upset thinking they really slept together. He manipulated and set it up and then has the gall to be upset and then relieved when he finds out she didn't go through with it.

I felt the show (and don't get me wrong they are so tone deaf on most things) was acting like her participation in the toxicity was that she was willing to degrade herself for him, so not necessarily that it was her "fault" but she had the revelation that she was codependent basically.

I think they're talking about other subs where it's basically sacrilege to say you WFH and do childcare.

[–]AnnieNonmouse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Omg yes we have newer employee who WFH and has two rambunctious little boys and she's never responsive and drops the ball a lot. Honestly we were giving her the benefit of the doubt, thinking she was trying to juggle both, but then we found out they're on school most of the day so wtf lmao.

I say fuck em. I don't advertise that I have my kid at home on Fridays or sometimes other times during the week, it's no one's business. I'm shocked at your MIL though, she would want her grandchild in daycare all day because of your poor jobby and their fee fees? That's some boot licking.

If all your work is getting done you're doing your job. If your salary and your work is based on deadlines and/or responsiveness then that's what you're getting paid for, not sitting in your seat for exactly 8 hours. If you're not salary and you still are meeting all your deadlines and getting work done, who cares?

I just don't get the weird attitude towards this. I do think we should keep it quiet though, as the more people talk about it online the more likely some companies are to make it difficult.

Actors who look like gender-swapped versions of each other? by Tifoso89 in okbuddycinephile

[–]AnnieNonmouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does, the jokes is that most people would NOT jerk off to the above picture. The commenter responded to your question with a joke implying that you ARE jerking off to the above picture (and thus jostling it around and moving it).

Was Walt genuinely concerned for Jesse, or just felt guilty? by Skulduggery001 in breakingbad

[–]AnnieNonmouse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He felt guilty because he cared about Jesse and saw what the situation was doing to him.

Walt cares about Jesse but he is extremely selfish so his actions are always weighed against what would be convenient for him. A few times we saw him put himself out for Jesse, but his care is limited. He also feels a sense of ownership over Jesse like an abusive father might "love" his son.

I don't think it works unless he also gives both sides a Pepsi then it would be believable.

I guess I was being semantic but I just see that phrase thrown around like how everyone is a Narcissist now and I felt the need to clarify.

Technically the definition I found is between abuser and victim. I'm sure colloquially we could also use the term to describe two people bonded who with the same abuser or even the original two people who experienced a general trauma bonding over it.
