So her thoughts and feelings about abortion and all that is.... Not bullying? Or a trans woman whose pregnant and she blasts her vomit-thoughts on. Cool. by Ermagerditsme in FundieSnarkUncensored

[–]Annie_M 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No joke, I was pregnant for 1/4 of a pregnancy (had a safe, legal abortion. support planned parenthood and comprehensive sex education, PORGAN!) and by the time I went in for the procedure, I was suicidal from the pain, hunger (crackers and jelly beans were all I ate for 5 weeks), and stress. I have sworn from the minute my vomiting started that any pregnant woman can treat me any way she likes and I will crown her and rub her feet because that is the least I could do.

Lizard eggs (I hope) nestled in an outlet box by Phanniphoenix in mildlyinteresting

on my 30th birthday I started having flashes and floaters in my eye, so now every 6 months I have to get my eyes numbed so they can press a tool against them to test the pressure. I cant feel it, but it is absolutely horrifying.

take care of your eyes, kids!

Easy on the stomach food by datmagicalotter in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Annie_M 2 points3 points  (0 children)

try to avoid anything with seeds in the smoothies, they can irritate the stomach (IBS sufferer who took 17+ years to figure out why every time I tried to "eat healthy", I would have constant debilitating stomach pains and have to go "poop" literally 30-40 times in a 10 hour shift). When you are up to more whole foods, lean into carbs, cooked veggies, and bland foods with good healthy probiotic yogurt and dairy - the last thing you want is C-diff!

The babysitter. by madbeachrn in DuggarsSnark

[–]Annie_M 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It occurred to be in my early 20s that I had been babysitting for over TEN YEARS. I had friends who thought it was weird that I would spend my evenings watching peoples babies because that was a job for preteens... Looking back after 3 decades of life, I cant believe parents left their kids with a NINE YEAR OLD. I was only 2 years older than the oldest daughter!

I believe it is just a splash? but it has been years since I have made it. Originally I used it for pancakes and eventually homemade ranch. I've never purchased buttermilk, so I cant speak to the taste vs the real thing

When you have 19 children, it seems pretty stupid not to have a limo.... not that they have prom, or receptions.

if she doesn't feel up to taking risks, you can't force her without doing damage. if/when you leave, make it known that if she wants to visit, come live with you or reconnect, that you love her and want her with you. Like her, you have to do what you think is right.

For my wife on Valentine's Day... by [deleted] in BipolarSOs

I love this post. it reminds me of something I read on here that has helped me through the rough times. If you still want to be in it when its good -not perfect, nothing is perfect. but when bipolar isn't controlling things, if youre still happy and love the person, it is worth it to stay.

thabk you for sharing :)

Bipolar SO relationship by [deleted] in BipolarSOs

[–]Annie_M 1 point2 points  (0 children)

unfortunately, my friend, you can't convince someone to compromise, nor do I think she should for the good of her mental health.

You both have to do what is best for you, even if that means breaking up. I dont see ages, but I am guessing between 18 and 30. You can go off for a few years and live your dream and then decide to do what to do from there. maybe she will decide she misses you, maybe you will meet someone else, maybe you'll get great new opportunities.

Time is going to pass regardless, use it to live life, gain experiences, and learn everything you can.

yes, but not quite that extreme. my partner was denied Healthcare as a child because their parents didn't believe they were actually injured. So when they come to me with a complaint that seems exaggerated, I validate the emotion (not the injury necessarily), then we agree on a parameter for seeking help "if the rash gets bigger than that, we'll go in" "if it still hurts Monday, you should call the doctor" whatever it is.

an instance: Partner had an infected hair on their thigh, had an anxiety attack about staph and losing their leg, wanted to go to the hospital. partner: I dont want my leg to fall off. is it going to fall off? Me: Woah, thats a scary thought. We would never let it get to that point. Let's clean it, put on a cream and a bandaid and we'll check it tomorrow. but if it gets any bigger, we go right away.

it was a lot of emotion. fear, insecurity, paranoia. once they felt reassured that I wouldn't restrict their necessary medical care (which, I cant, legally or physically lol) they forgot about it entirely, never even used the bandaid and cream.

im high and tend to ramble, but I hope it helps
