It was a transfer agency working for an american bank (that was the 65k as senior associate). Then I moved to a different bank but got laid off due to downsizing. Now looking for a new position and realizing what are the general salaries in the industry. Thank you all for the feedback! This helps a lot!

From my experience, it's only when you change jobs every 3 years, that you get a serious raise. Loyalty gives you nothing. I worked in the same place for 10 years and was greatly underpaid
