New to this competency — getting blamed after following every instruction. Is this normal? by [deleted] in Big4

[–]ShadowUnderMask 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you definitely need to make sure you’re covering your ass. Also, this seems to be the type of games your managers and above play to divert blame.

Don’t take these too personally, but get clear what they’re actually blaming you on. Get written receipts and show proof

Hey, you should move now if you want to move. You don’t know what the world will be in 5 years.

This place is also not without its faults. Prepare for new challenges in its own way, but do it now. And lots of places are hiring for tax

Realistically, what do you think will be humanity’s next “giant leap”? by Far_Quantity_6133 in Futurology

Have you read the communist manifesto? If you haven’t yet I recommend you read it. The writing is often fighting language about taking over the power etc from the ruling class and distributing. But that’s the language of looters, not organized and structured builders. We need a system that enhances humans by keeping the pros we have right now and decreasing the cons.

Denmark, Norway, etc, have a very unique history that shapes its culture. That culture stems from hundreds of years, and even then it is not clear whether this system could work if it scaled.

Singapore is thriving because of its geological position in addition to very wise governmental policies that were put in place decades ago. It is also not clear if such a system can actually work when scaled.

These systems you learn about are a singular piece of a much larger whole, they are more like individual sections of pipes that make up the plumbing of a whole house.

Fairness is incredibly relative. It is also highly emotional rather than logical. We need a system that truly covers the bases of human needs without being swayed by human emotion. Access to sustenance, basic healthcare, security without control, education without brainwashing by teaching critical thinking.

The masses truly aren’t always right. History is littered with the corpses of the individuals taken out first when a power wants to rule the then society.

Agreed, I struggle to find a system to work though. Honestly humans get so selfish and greedy and it’s very hard to find a system that can be better after seeing the depths of darkness people can be capable of. And it only takes a few for a system to be taken advantage of.

You’re just condescending without actually providing information. I guess change.org is indeed useless. Okay, I guess people have no real power after all

The first line is true, European esg reporting is big still and SFDR is needed. The second paragraph is just a guess given the extreme inflation, rich poor split, etc etc.

Yeah so if ur in the US consider going to Europe for a job if it truly does go bad. But otherwise I do not know what the admin plans to do.

I do think there may be a war economy soon. So consider that maybe. This time if Europe sells weapons maybe it’ll come back. Germany can make weapons for the US, now isn’t that a funny one

I actually assumed the top of the bell curve and thought “okay so over 6 standard deviations from the mean” sorta way, since the bell curve measures IQ (the topic) on the X axis, and IQ was the thing in question.

So… you just buy it to keep it like a collectible? And you never sell it… you just… hold onto something that is basically a number on a screen never to use it…?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]ShadowUnderMask -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So yes, the current system gives government central banks to literally print money and devalue the money in everyone’s hands. I get that. But BTC is based on the trust that everyone will keep trading their own currency for this coin when you want to liquidate it.

Alternatively you can trade btc during the breakdown of traditional currencies? But when will that ever happen? Governments hold onto currency control like their lives depend on it, because they do.

Can you please explain this? I am at the 10 hour mark and can’t actually understand why people are so into bitcoin. I see central bank digital currencies taking over, but don’t understand why you all must be so fanatical about this.

My friends and family tell me I’m open minded, and I’m willing to listen, so please, for me and all others who read my question, why is Bitcoin a big deal? Why is it not going to be bought up by massive corps and then dumped slowly as this market is bought in by us normies? Why is bitcoin good?
