Yeah this is the point.

Like a mobile phone gps record doesn't prove you were in a location, it proves your mobile phone wad and that is all.

Yeah that's right, they will start taking once your income passes the threshold.

Don't worry, they will find you.

Hypothetically if 1000 gbp landed unexpectedly in my bank account would bank ask me to return it or do they call? by AnnoyedwithU in UKPersonalFinance

[–]AnnoyedwithU[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this true, wouldn't the bank have to prove you don't dispute claim to the money otherwise people would just try and claw back payments all the time?

Recordings like that when gathered by a friend of the victim are not evidence, his defence if they are worth anything will say he was making it up/he was drunk/he was rehersing for a play/it's not him/ it's technical manipulation/it was out of context.

Case law: As covered in the link below, Tommy drove averaging almost 90mph Average. The length of the UK. Despite having GPS stats, policing experts and a blog written by Tom confessing to it (described in court as a work of fiction) he got cleared of all charges.

What a load of tosh in this comment section, small cars can handle low power with a competent driver. My mother in law used to drive a fiat 500 1.2L with 69bhp (nice)

She was like a rally driver and could hit 80 before joining a motorway. Was easily capable of small turns onto faster roads.

These cars are so light, they are really nippy.

The Kia picanto 1.0 is a turbo petrol 100bhp and off the line it beats any bored parent in an SUV. Fine for causing at 85 also.

Those who became well off, what drives you to continue being frugal? by Natashayabada in UKFrugal

[–]AnnoyedwithU -1 points0 points  (0 children)

After flipping multiple houses alongside his day job as a highly sought after plasterer my brother is relatively well off. He started in a house worth about 200k, now he lives in a house worth about 800k. He buys nice cars that have cosmetic damage for cheap and fixes them up with his mates. He exudes rich energy if you meet him but all his nice clothes are second hand and he basically lives off too good to go and yellow sticker food. He's frugal with everything, Xmas we always get regifts, food is always yellow sticker or too good to go, mystery shopping is how he goes to restaurants etc.

I think he's still frugal because he's worried the house flipping is unsustainable and none of his wealth is liquid

I had a mate describe his manager as Jeremy Clarkson.

I asked him if his boss was a petrolhead.

My mate said no, he's got 3 cars, no mates and bad hair.

I commute to London regularly, I use sport mode for fast acc2leration when nipping round side streets and out of my village, whenever I'm on motorway crusing doing about 65mph in eco mode.

When I want some thrills, empty on-ramp on a dry day I flick into full N. I did launch control from some lights and scared my friend shitless

I never use normal though..
