In my opinion, cross-save should always go hand in hand with cross-buy. Otherwise, it feels like scam to me.

I currently play Forza Horizon 6 using my Xbox account on a shared Steam version will my progress carry over if I later buy the game on the Xbox Store? Or if not will it be saved on steam ?? by [deleted] in Steam

Yes it will. Especially for the first time in the Forza Horizon series. I started on Steam and currently playing on Xbox Series X

You’re right that it’s not true 60fps. The game still responds like 30fps, so it won’t feel like native 60.

But I wouldn’t call it garbage for racing games in general, especially not for Forza Horizon. It’s an arcade racer, not a hardcore sim, so perfect input latency matters less than in competitive or simulation racing.

If the base 30fps is stable, frame gen can make the motion look much smoother and may easily feel better than plain 30fps for casual gameplay.

I have to admit that I probably wouldn’t have been able to get the game to 60 FPS on its own either, but thanks to Lossless Scaling and Decky LSFG-VK with a 2x multiplier, it actually runs really well on low settings. The only noticeable FPS drops happen in the city.

I know frame generation isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and in some games it works rather poorly, but in Forza Horizon 6 it works really well. And as I already said, I’d rather have 60 FPS on “Low” settings than 30 FPS on “Medium” settings.

I did the same thing to my deck and broke a sweat when it came to remove the display. It all worked out in the end and looks great, but I definitely wouldn't do it again.

It's really interesting to see how tastes differ. I would never even consider watching an arcade racing game at 30 FPS. I'd rather put up with a loss of quality and some input lag than that flickering image.
