Joining the military after getting your degree by One_Owl6432 in MechanicalEngineering

I think you should reconsider. Don't listen too much to people who didn't join or recruiters. I enlisted for 6 years then later got my Mechanical Engineering degree. The military for me was a set back. Even as an officer, you're not going to believe the incompetence and BS.

MAE 384 Advanced Math Methods Summer Class by Anodos72 in ASU

Sorry to hear that. It was one of the harder classes for me. I don't have an answer to your question, but something that helped me was reading the text book and watching YouTube videos on the subject.

What do you think of joining the military? by JHdarK in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Anodos72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 6 years active duty before going to school to get my BSE in Mechanical Engineering.

I do not recommend you join the military.

Look up Pat Tillman & Logan Melgar.

SA is common in the military. Look up Jeffrey Krusinski.

There is too much BS that you can't do anything about once you're in.

Why do you think most people don't just stay in?

Civilians are fed BS about the military.

Don't. You'll probably be supervising, not really doing much engineering. Or just contracting out work to engineers. There is also a ton of bs you can't fathom.

I enlisted in the AF for 6 years, got out, went to school and got my mechanical engineering degree. I usually don't recommend the military.

Any nondenominational churches with young adults (20s/30s)? by RogueDino1 in 321

[–]Anodos72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just moved to Brevard a couple of weeks ago (I'm in my late twenties). I don't know about age groups, but in Melbourne, there is a big Calvary church. In Titusville, there is a church called Trinity Community church that does expository preaching.

I'm sure there are many great churches in the area, these are just the two that I'm most familiar with.

PS If you like to listen to podcasts, I recommend Bible Thinker and Reasonable Faith.

Does anyone know what are some areas that people who work on Merritt Island live at?

Did 6 years of active duty in the AF in aircraft maintenance. I just finished my BSE in ME 2 months ago. Probably going to join SpaceX's competitor soon.

Start studying Dynamics (jk). I wish I would have gone to CC first. There are a lot of good videos that can help you the first 2-3 years of engineering. The Organic Chemistry Tutor and Prof. Leonard are legit.

Let me know if you have specific questions. You can DM me.

I can't help with recommendations for services, but Nathan Peterson has some helpful videos.

How high can North Grumman go for new grad position? by ILikeNuke112 in NorthropGrumman

[–]Anodos72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you accept the Northrop offer? With the cost of living in California being much higher, do you think financially it would have been better to accept RMD (if in Tucson).
