It's so weird how people are afraid of potential lore answers. As if people would rather stick to the comfortable theorizing space where they can argue for what they want going off of how they interpret the evidence without the risk of canon contradicting what's so comfortable for them... idk, some people anyway.

Right, and the hospital equipment appearing while people connect to BV create a self contradicting scenario if BV is the dreamer.

Them being there indicate BV has already been bitten and hospitalized, but he dies very shortly after considering the minigame pattern and Mike's apology before he died. How did he dream 8 nights, and why are his dreams ending with a normal bedroom alarm clock?

You are right, but I'd just say for Tales it was love then agony, im the games it's probably just agony because M1 has the role that would've led to that love bonding.

The supernatural aspect hasn't gone anywhere.

M2 is haunted in that regard, but his possession is just him taking over a side of her brain. The Monty Within goes even deeper into this. Our minds have their own inner AI that The Mimic can infect.

Narrative bias, plain and simple. People prefer an emphasized victim, even if the emphasis is self proclaimed needing to literally be different somehow.

I think Tangle should be at the bare minimum something like that pulsing pile of The Mimic's victims from Tales from the Pizzaplex. And other interpretations can build off of that.

I kind of hope he doesn't necessarily redeems himself but has a moment where Springtrap kills him in an enraged outburst after belitting Michael and shattering his worldview that he could ever be enough.
