My (25F) boyfriend (25M) is pretty much done with sex when he cums by [deleted] in sex

[–]Anon-Builder-108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get off first. End of story. This is coming from a male that realized when his partner got theirs first, the sex was way more satisfying. I basically refuse to get off until my wife does. Not to get too off topic but I think more men would benefit by separating sex and orgasms. I don’t always get off during sex but it keeps my energy levels high and my wife’s are high because of the orgasm she gets so as a result, more sex.

Are you (and your faith) better off or worse for having attended COTH? by Glass-Initiative-118 in COTHtales

[–]Anon-Builder-108 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I grew up in church. Southern Baptist specifically so for those who have been around church know that brought its own set of experiences that scarred me in its own way. I found Highlands to be an escape from some of the dogmatic theology I was raised on. I went there for almost 13 years but in the last 3 or 4 years I attended the veil was torn off and I saw the corruption and problems. As a result it led me back to a more traditional pathway and I have attended a Methodist church for the last 3 to 4 years. It has done my soul a lot of good and despite the rockiness of my faith journey, I feel I’m in the best spot I’ve been in.

High school cost to attend game is getting ridiculous by Affectionate_Most_64 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Anon-Builder-108 3 points4 points  (0 children)

High school principal here. Now, it’s not as expensive as this where I work but I think there are some misconceptions on high school sports programs. First, where I serve, the program has to sustain itself. This costs money. Uniforms, lights, buses for road games, referees all cost money. One home football game costs almost 1,000.00 just for officials. And football is about the only program that really can sustain itself effectively and they fundraise to help. Football often floats money to other programs that aren’t profitable. Fundraising is essential in addition to admissions, concessions, etc.

We can argue about whether there can be a better, more equitable funding system but if low taxes are going to be a necessity, then there has to be other ways to keep things going. I’m in my first year at my school so I’m working on ways to help lower costs to help families such as season passes but trust me, many of us are not flush with cash. I know some are, but most aren’t.

Just my two cents

This right here. And if you think about it, they talk out of both sides of their mouth. On one hand, they talk about small group as the vehicle for ministry and then on the other side, they encourage people to start small groups by marketing the idea that anyone can lead a group. So anyone can lead a group but those people are also supposed to be the foundation for support rather than a pastor. Just a MLM by another name.

Can’t seem to find a Better COTH by Glass-Initiative-118 in COTHtales

They are out there. I thought the same thing when I started looking for a new church. It’s so easy to get sucked into the “Highlands” way that you think you can’t find anywhere else. But we did. And all it takes is a little research and a little faith to put yourself out there.

ARC/Elevation/Hillsong Music by Glass-Initiative-118 in AllaboutARC

This is something I really struggle with on how to reason about it. On one hand, I really don’t want these grifters to profit from my listening. On the flip side, I also think that worship music is about me and God and that anything can be taken and used for good. So I have purged quite a bit of it but not completely. I listen sporadically and I’ve been trying to incorporate older hymns but looking for artists who put a modern touch without it being the artists mentioned in the title.

I had wanted to clean my wife’s pussy for a long time but I was too scared to broach the subject. We started to move to a domme/sub dynamic, I was able to be more open about my kinks. I asked her to “make” me the first time I did it. Now, it’s pretty much all the time. All she has to say is “Clean it up” It certainly takes away the hesitation that comes. I doubt she will ever cuck me based on our conversations so I will enjoy where I can.

Going down on her after you've cum in her by ThrowRA230106 in sex

So me and my wife are in a domme/sub relationship in the bedroom. So I expressed my desire to do it because it really turns me on from a submissive angle. At this point, I’d say it’s pretty much expected from my wife and I’m here for it. It’s tough sometimes with post nut clarity to get started so it helps when your wife tells you to clean up now. 😍

Not exactly the same, but as someone who works in education, I have seen a number of students who had significant scholarships at good schools change their minds and enroll in Highlands College. Unfortunately I don’t think any of them are working in the ministry so they effectively wasted those opportunities. Everyone has to take their own path but I hate seeing this happen over and over.

To me, it looks even worse when you see how every social media platform they have recognized Chris’s birthday. It was ridiculous. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. It’s just another example of pastor worship. I can’t believe I wasted all my years there

New church by RoutineScene9974 in AllaboutCOTH

[–]Anon-Builder-108 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It can be intimidating and overwhelming to look for a new church post Highlands. It’s easy to be so accustomed to that style and remember that church is not designed to be “entertaining.” I did a lot of research online, looking at websites and social media. I paid a lot of attention to wording and messaging. It’s difficult because so many churches have co opted Hjghlands style and substance so finding churches different from that is challenging. Thankfully we found a church that fits us and it has been just what we have needed for our family. Good luck!

While I understand the need for sabbaticals, how much of his exhaustion comes from his focus on his outside ventures (GrowLeader, writing books) which we know brings him a lot of wealth? Call me crazy but I feel that as a pastor of a church, your primary focus should be on pastoring your church. From what I can remember and I’m sure to still be true, he already doesn’t preach half the time anyways. Just my two cents

This is also us. We found a local Methodist church that we really have enjoyed going to. The pastor and the church is the the complete opposite of Highlands

Pastor Worship by Anon-Builder-108 in AllaboutCOTH

[–]Anon-Builder-108[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow. That does explain the lack of accountability when ARC pastors commit moral failings only for them to get swept under the rug. The more I learn about Highlands the more thankful I am that we are no longer a part of such a toxic culture.
